2023 Top Prospects

Garet Boehm  3B - 2023 - Taylor, TX
Texas Tech

Boehm was the best hitter in the event showing off his homerun power and barrel control that put three out to center and left in BP with next-level impact. Continued to be on another level against pitching in game play and topped the exit velos posting a 91 off the bat and all the signs of a top program talent on display. Was also 92 across the infield separating his present arm strength by a notable margin. Physical 6-3/215 corner infield profile held an impressive look with several flashes of now tools from the Texas Tech recruit.

Cade Algaier  OF - 2023 - Austin, TX
Blinn College

Algaier was maybe the best athlete on the field with some very notable strides across his game. Polished tools on both sides with projection left heading into spring is a sure follow. He stood out in workouts and was explosive in each phase of game play. Posted a 6.44 in the 60, was 86 from the outfield and up to 84 with life and feel to spin from the left side on the mound. Quick twitch at the plate with an excellent hit tool produced impact rounding out a strong look at a solid uncommitted 2023 prospect to know.

Andrew Frei  OF - 2023 - Boerne, TX

Frei consistently executed at the plate with some moving parts rounding out a solid look. Great feel for the barrel carried with flashes of strength in BP and produced quality at-bats with impact and bat speed standing out in game. The 6-1/175 frame has projection left with arm strength and glove skill in the outfield playing clean with awareness. Well-rounded prospect to keep an eye on made it easy to see the tools advance heading into the spring with potential beyond his prep career.


2024 Top Prospects

Ayden Pearcy  C - 2024 - Friendswood, TX

Pearcy was a force at the plate each at-bat seemingly always finding loud contact. Swings a heavy barrel compact through the zone with explosive impact getting extended to all fields. His BP round stood out in quality and was consistent in his approach producing in game. Very sound actions behind the plate with athleticism and excellent receiving skills present. Showed a great feel for the game and good motor while impacting both sides. The polished look with half his prep career left has a lot of intrigue to keep tabs on this prospect.

Collin Dennis  OF - 2024 - Humble, TX

Dennis showed plenty of upside to like from a powerful 5-10/185 outfield profile with strength projecting at the plate. The impact to pull-side played with intent and was aggressive on the base path with IQ to produce. Good combination of athleticism and strength to continue to build on. Showed awareness and sound actions in the outfield working through the end game as well. Plays with a lot of feel and does not seem to be close to his potential he should start to put together soon.

Brayden Mulkey  OF - 2024 - San Antonio, TX
Baylor

Mulkey is a high motor athlete with loads athleticism to produce in any phase of the game. He allowed just one hit in three innings on the mound doing a great job generating weak barrels and disrupt timing with natural strike throwing ability. Ran a 6.64 in the 60 and flashed strength with an athletic swing from left side with some explosiveness when he connects. A lot of energy with sound actions in the outfield as well has play making intent. Very playable tools starting to connect for a well-rounded prospect.

Jared Burdette  RHP - 2024 - Richmond, TX

Burdette is a projectable 6-2/180 right-hander that impressed with his mature feel to pitch while tossing an excellent three innings that fanned five and generated soft contact with great command for his mix. Quality fastball life was heavy with late sink and cut at times filled up the zone working up to 84 and tunneled a sharp breaking ball with traits of an advanced pitch he missed several barrels with. Productive at the plate and showed versatility in the field as well, while the upside on mound was on full display with one of the better outings in the event.


2025 Top Prospects

Cooper Rummel  RHP - 2025 - Austin, TX
Texas

Rummel was as dominant with his fastball as you see in the class. He was living around 88-89 in this look already peaking it in the low-90s. He went eight strikeouts over three innings and over 15 swings-and-miss on the electric offering. Imposing 6-3/200 build with a power arm missing barrels with angle and life locating the zone and mixing two planes on the breaking ball offerings with feel displayed the high-end upside of the Texas recruit with an exciting future ahead.

Ed Small  OF - 2025 - Austin, TX
Texas

Small is a polished player and physically gifted athlete separating his talent in the state with three years of prep experience and development providing high trajectory for the Texas recruit. The physical 6-1/200 outfielder ran the event best 6.43 in the 60 and showed just how advanced the glove and run tools play with huge range, quick reaction and turning a hit to the centerfield wall into a homerun. Total awareness in every part of the game with tremendous talent on display from a top prospect the class.

Cade Adams  C - 2025 - Pearland, TX
University of Southern Mississippi

Adams showcased quality upside in a great look across the board. The catcher profile projects and looked the part alongside his quality switch hitting ability producing strong impact in BP and multiple hard barrels in game from both sides. The actions behind the dish were fluid showing off arm strength and a 1.90 pop. Excellent athleticism and hit tool present and plenty left to see at backstop to have on the Texas 2025 radar.

Gus Begert  OF - 2025 - Austin, TX

Begert was excellent in his outing going hitless through two frames. Great pitchability on display with an impressive changeup and breaking ball offerings that went unanswered and missed barrels consistently working the secondary with good feel. Also athletic in the outfield with arm strength projecting well. A lot of room to fill the 6-2/183 frame looking the part on the mound with a promising arsenal showing signs of plenty more to see as he progresses.


2026 Top Prospects

Cooper Webb  RHP - 2026 - Spicewood, TX

Webb had a solid quick look on the mound topping the fastball at 80 and landing the breaking ball with shape and intent. Fluid and controlled operation showed sync downhill and has knowledge of the zone and adjust well. Low-effort delivery generates arm speed to project on as well. The developing athleticism will start to influence his ability on mound with a good feel to pitch present to start to develop a promising craft.

Jacob Spates  3B - 2026 - Georgetown, TX

Spates was intriguing with the bat, real loose and full of intent to connect with impact and found a few barrels to produce in game. Easy to project on the defensive ability, looked sharp with the glove and quick arm actions. The long lever build is coordinated with flashes of athleticism across his game to grow into as he continues to develop the good young look.
