2022 Top Prospects

Tim Willans  RHP - 2022 - Whippany, NJ
Uncommitted

Willians might be the most projectable '22 grad of all time, as the 6'6" 185 lb senior RHP was more than effective on the bump touching 87 mph from a funky low 3/4 slot. When in the zone, Willians was lights out, flashing heavy natural movement on the FB with a tight slider showcasing horizontal plane in the back pocket. He gets tremendous extension downhill and can refine the mechanics to add additional velocity to an already extremely live arm.

2023 Top Prospects

Andrew Fierro  RHP - 2023 - Bloomingdale, NJ
Marist

The most dominant performance of the day on the bump went to Fierro, who showed the ability to both out-think and overpower hitters who stepped into the box. With plenty of strength in the 6'0" 190 lb frame, Fierro sequenced his three pitch FB/CB/CH arsenal extremely well, using clean balanced mechanics to pound both corners and generate tons of swing and miss, topping out at 90 mph.

Jonny Gilligan  SS - 2023 - Wayne, NJ
St. Peter's

With one of the louder arms over the course of the entire event, Gilligan was near untouchable on the mound running the gun up to 88 mph working from clean loose mechanics. Using a full arm action, the 5'10" 170 lb righty flashed explosive sinking life on the FB with plenty of raw potential in the curveball that displayed lots of depth when he got on top.

Trey Hartnett  RHP - 2023 - New Canaan, CT
Bates College

Hartnett was another flamethrower who wasn't afraid to challenge hitters on the bump, sitting 84-87 and ultimately topping out at 88 mph over his two innings of work. The 6'4" 195 lb righty worked from a high 3/4 slot while successfully staying tall on the backside, flashing a changeup with tumbling action to consistently get hitters out in front.

Mikey Brunetti  C - 2023 - Manhasset, NY
Bradley

Brunetti impressed at the plate during BP with some of the hardest hit balls of the day. Recording the highest exit velocity of the workout (94 mph), the physically built catcher launched balls to the left-center field gap with authority. While also recording one of the best pop times of 1.93, the Manhasset-native flashes some arm strength and athleticism behind the plate.

Aidan Vargas  RHP - 2023 - Teaneck, NJ
Marist

An all around good day during the workout, Vargas barreled up some balls during live action, threw 81 mph across the diamond, and recorded an exit velocity of 88 mph. The 6'2"/195lb first baseman generated tons of bat speed as he displayed advanced barrel skills, working through the middle-of-the-field during his round of BP. If that wasn't enough, Vargas also ran it up to 86 mph on the bump with late life and natural movement in the arsenal.

2024 Top Prospects

Ben Fishel  OF - 2024 - Tappan, NY
Columbia

By far the most impressive prospect of the weekend, Fishel displayed legitimate talent that should have plenty of schools lining up for his talents. 93 mph across the infield with athletic twitch and ease to his actions. Fishel produced loud contact during BP with present gap-to-gap power, while also taking some hacks left-handed flashing some switch-hit ability. While also working in the mid-80s on the bump, showing off some swing-and-miss stuff, Fishel is a legitimate two-way prospect that has two important years of development ahead of him.

Greg Nascimento  RHP - 2024 - Kinnelon, NJ
New Jersey Tech

With good tempo and lots of energy on the mound, Nascimento worked exclusively from the stretch with clear life out of the hand up to 86 mph. From an over the top slot, the projectable 5'8" 160 lb righty mixed a cutting FB with a power 12-6 curveball with lots of late bite to it. As the mechanics refine, it wouldn't be a surprise to see the velocity tick up even further.

Colin Larson  OF - 2024 - Easthampton, MA
Boston College

Larson can simply be described as a hit machine, putting both the contact and power tools on display during BP which then translated directly in game. Posting an exit velocity of 90 mph, the 5'7" 190 lb OF prospect has young strength with plenty of bat speed and advanced barrel control to generate hard contact gap to gap. He also displayed tons of natural athleticism in the OF with clean movements, topping out at 84 mph.

2025 Top Prospects

Wade Hartrick  C - 2025 - Boulder, CO
Uncommitted

Hartrick had himself a day at a range of positions, showcasing clean defensive ability behind a live arm from the IF, behind the dish, and on the mound. The righty got up to 85 mph across the diamond with clear strength in the lower half which translated to the offensive end where Hartrick had plenty of balance in the stroke, barreling line drives gap to gap and posting an exit velo of 85 mph.

2026 Top Prospects

Matthew Tafuri  OF - 2026 - Cedar Grove, NJ
Uncommitted

As one of the youngest participants of the event Tafuri showcased advanced actions in the outfield with on line, accurate throws up to 83 mph. Utilizing a simple approach at the plate, Tatufri stayed within himself, not trying to do too much as he produced consistent, loud barrels during his round. Definitely one to watch in the region as we roll into the spring and summer.

Romeo Cabrera  SS - 2026 - Lake Hiawatha, NJ
Uncommitted

Silky smooth with natural actions at short, Cabrera took one of the more impressive defensive rounds of the entire weekend. With some quick twitch and range going to his left and right, the young shortstop should be able to stick up the middle as he continues to mature physically.

Caden Lozito  OF - 2026 - Roseland, NJ
Uncommitted

Lozito impressed with athleticism during Saturdays workout, playing through the ball well in the outfield showcasing plus-arm strength for his age as he worked up to 83 mph. While flashing some middle-of-field impact during his BP round, the young Roseland, NJ-native employed a compact stroke, turning on some balls, flashing juice to the left-center gap.
