2024 Top Prospects

Parker Smith  C - 2024 - Montgomery, TX
Louisiana-Lafayette

Smith was really impressive all-around and looks the part of a premium uncommitted prospect in the state. He's got very high level catch and throw skills with efficient pops (1.8s) and a really strong arm while on the offensive end it's a blend of consistency with the barrel and real impact strength that makes him great on both sides.

John D Mitchell  RHP - 2024 - Cypress, TX
Air Force

Mitchell is athletic and handles the game well as a whole, but impressed the most as a prospect on the mound where he was 87-90 with a good bit of ease, a clean delivery, some changeup feel and a standout breaking ball that he spins in the 27-2800 range, giving him the foundation that could turn it into a plus pitch next year.

Trevor Ainsworth  RHP - 2024 - Pearland, TX
McLennan CC

Ainsworth looks the part of a big power Texan and he shows it a good bit on both sides of the ball; he was up to 88 with the fastball and it's pretty heavy where there's a good deal of feel for spin while offensively he's got a ton of now strength and the ability to leverage the baseball in pretty easily.

Jackson Baird  OF - 2024 - Robinson, TX
Uncommitted

Baird is a higher end athlete and has a good bit of twitch to the profile; he ran a 6.89, threw 90 from the outfield and showed some feel to hit with a couple extra-base hits in game, not to mention he's also 6'4/175 with a bunch of power remaining on the profile.

Camden Babcock  3B - 2024 - Needville, TX
Uncommitted

Babcock also showed well-rounded across the event, running a 6.91, throwing 87 from 2 different positions and taking a clean BP; his best showing was in game where he played the outfield well and banged a 2B off the wall to the pull side.

Drake Threadgill  LHP - 2024 - Fredericksburg, TX
McLennan CC

Threadgill won't blow you away with the stuff but he can really pitch and we've seen him ticks higher than this event; he's a low to mid-80s left-hander with a good delivery, feel for a changeup he turns over really well and some budding feel to spin, not to mention there's some projection.

Conner Cramer  C - 2024 - Conroe, TX
Uncommitted

Cramer is a pretty explosive player in terms of the physical tools he has; he runs well for a catch, has good catch and throw and a strong arm and there's both power and consistency in the left-handed bat, something that should make him a commodity on the uncommitted prospect market.

Ethan Wood  1B - 2024 - Austin, TX
Regis

Wood is a big physical left-handed bat at 6'2/217 who can really impact the baseball when he's timed up and although he's profiled at first base, he's a solid defender there and can let the power in the bat carry the profle.

2025 Top Prospects

William Hill  OF - 2025 - Humble, TX
Texas

Hill is very established as a prospect, being committed to Texas and one of the top-ranked players in the state, and he continues to make strides in terms of aspects of his game; he's a sub 6.6 runner now, has added some strength offensively and can still flat out play the outfield with all the tools to be an impactful defender up the middle of the outfield.

Michael Peavy  C - 2025 - Houston, TX
Uncommitted

Peavy is listed as a primary backstop, but impressed in the outfield and on the mound; he's got a strong arm, up to 88, good strength in the bat with athleticism to the process, and was really good on the mound getting up to 88 and downhill on the fastball while ripping off some sharp breaking balls up over 2500 RPMs and missing real bats.

Kaul Perkins  SS - 2025 - Amite, LA
Uncommitted

Perkins is super tooled up and has the foundation of a really interesting prospect; he's a 6.9 runner, throws 90 from the outfield and 88 across the infield, was up to 87 with a good fastball on the mound and there's good traits offensively with quality bat speed and overall quickness.

Kolin Swindall  RHP - 2025 - Alvin, TX
Uncommitted

Swindall is a projectable right-handed who can pitch it a good bit; his arm strength shows at a number of spots (88 from the outfield) and he was up to 85 with the fastball showing he can downhill and really spin a hard downer breaking ball at 2600+ RPMs that'll miss bats alongside his changeup.

Thomas Schnabel  OF - 2025 - Driftwood, TX
Abilene Christian

Schnabel can really really run, turning in a 6.44 and he's an explosive athlete as a whole; his ground he can cover in the outfield stands out and he's got real strong arms and bat speed offensively with the path and consistency to hit a lot of stuff hard on a regular basis.

Mikey Grayson  OF - 2025 - Conroe, TX
Uncommitted

Grayson is an interestingly projectable outfielder who moves clean and was up to 88 from the outfield, while the swing is a clean one and he showed that he can adjust well in game, especially on a back side triple that showed there's real impact in there long-term.

Gus Begert  OF - 2025 - Austin, TX
Uncommitted

Begert looks the part and is athletic as a whole; he's a solid runner with solid arm strength, has some looseness and quickness to the hands offensively, throws strikes on the mound and is 6'3/180 giving him excellent physical projection.

Jake Baskin  C - 2025 - Houston, TX
Uncommitted

Baskin showed well in all facets; he's a 6.95 runner, is up to 87 from the outfield (and can also catch some), and it's short/direct stroke with some real impact strength that showed up in 90+ exits off the tee.

Luke Hamm  3B - 2025 - Keller, TX
Uncommitted

Hamm won't blow you away with tools but he has a really good swing with lots of barrel consistency and the strength to drive the ball to deep parts of either gap, getting really good extension through impact.

Richard Klosek  1B - 2025 - Houston, TX
Loyola Marymount

Klosek is well-rounded in terms of his foundation tools with a 7.18 run time, 86 mph arm strength from the outfield and the overall feel for spraying the field offensively; he plays well in game action and paired with the tools it makes him a solid prospect.

Thomas Grisamore  RHP - 2025 - Austin, TX
Uncommitted

Grisamore has some tools on the defensive/offensive side of the ball, but stands out the most on the mound where he was up to 85, filling the zone, has some feel for spin above 2300 in raw spin and changeup feel. It's a full mix with a good deal of projection as a whole.

2026 Top Prospects

Catcher Hopkins  C - 2026 - Tomball, TX
Texas A&M

Hopkins is already very highly regarded in the class and he showed even louder tools over the course of the showcase event. He was up to 94 across the infield (!), and showed monster arm strength from behind the dish (his primary spot), while he's a switch hitter with comfortability with the barrel, consistency and the strength to hammer all over the field.

Easton Autrey  3B - 2026 - Corsicana, TX
Texas A&M

Autrey is a massively physical 6'3/212 15 year old and his left-handed power jumps out right away. He's solidly athletic for the size, even as a corner guy, and his ability to leverage with fast hands and big strength gives him really exciting offensive upside from a power standpoint.

Jeffrey-Todd Darden  OF - 2026 - Cypress, TX
Uncommitted

Darden is a tooled up and twitchy athlete who showed those tools all over the diamond; he's a 6.6 runner and his wiry strength had him up to 90 from the outfield while offensively it's a clean swing, enough now bat speed and the overall physical projection to see much more in there.

Mark Macklin  OF - 2026 - Katy, TX
Uncommitted

Macklin has a good bit of twitch to his game and overall projects really nicely; he's a 6.8 runner, threw 86 from the outfield and swung it well in BP with good bat speed, all while being 6'1/165 and looking the part already.

Caleb Simons  OF - 2026 - Cypress, TX
Uncommitted

Simons is a good athlete with some arm strength from the outfield and really jumped out when he took a breaking ball on the inner third and hit a bomb just inside the foul pole; he's got good strength now and overall can impact the game well.
