2023 Top Prospects

Eli Knorr  1B - 2023 - Smithville, MO
Uncommitted

Knorr is as strong and physical as they come, and it translated into big power potential in the box. The right-handed hitter recorded a 90 mph exit velocity and pummeled the ball during BP. Opposing pitchers should tread lightly when he's in the box, as he can do some damage when he gets his pitch.


2024 Top Prospects

AJ Evasco  1B - 2024 - Lincoln, NE
Kansas State

A six-foot-five corner infielder with a bat that is a true carrying tool. Really impressed in BP showing the ability to put consistent quality swings on the baseball. Then proved it even further in game connecting on the two hardest hit baseballs on the day. A smashed line drive to centerfield and a blast to his pull side. Both registered at over 100 MPH off the bat.

Adam Kayko  2B - 2024 - Waukee, IA
Nebraska

Kayko is a strong and physical corner infielder who had a solid all-around showing. He flashed plenty of power during BP and recorded a 92 mph exit velocity. During infield workouts, he recorded throws up to 85 mph and played with twitch and athleticism.

Cole Young  SS - 2024 - Kansas City, MO
Central Missouri

Young is a toolsy prospect with some projectable components to his game. He looked like a natural in the outfield, recording throws up to 90 mph, and he flashed his speed with a 6.85 second sixty. The right-handed hitter has plenty of hand speed and his athleticism plays well throughout the swing.

Yale Griffiths  RHP - 2024 - Overland Park, KS
Lenoir-Rhyne

While he may be a primary pitcher, Griffiths flashed some two-way potential with the bat in this one. He displayed a strong and physical swing, recording a 89 mph exit velocity and collecting a couple well-struck singles during the game. On the mound, he touched 85 mph with a clean and easy delivery and a compact arm action.

Jake Miller  C - 2024 - Leawood, KS
Fairleigh Dickinson

Miller is a quick and athletic prospect who put up some solid numbers across the board. He showed surprising speed for a catcher, running a 6.86 second sixty, and he recorded throws up to 84 mph from the outfield. With the bat, he displayed good feel for the barrel and a fundamentally sound swing overall.

Caden Anderson  RHP - 2024 - Bennington, NE

Anderson displayed impressive pitchability from the right side, as he featured a four-pitch mix that he could locate with ease. Each pitch has significant movement, and he proved to be a difficult problem to solve for opposing hitters. He ran his fastball up to 81 mph in this look, and his off speed pitches allowed him to keep hitters off balance.

Josiah Hall  OF - 2024 - Kansas City, MO

Hall flashed his arm strength at two positions, as he was up to 85 mph from the outfield, and recorded a 2.00 second pop time at 75 mph from behind the dish. At the plate, he showcased intriguing pull side pop, recording a 88 mph exit velocity.

Brett Pearcy  RHP - 2024 - Lenexa, KS
Johnson County CC

A two-way prospect with some impact ability on both sides of the baseball. Showed a three-pitch mix on the mound with a slider that had the traits of a next level out pitch. Showed the ability to make all the routine plays in the infield. Got to a consistent hitting position and showed barrel control and some all fields hitting ability at KC Indoor.

Connor Kepner  C - 2024 - Lee’S Summit, MO

Kepner can be summed up into one word: gamer. The primary catcher/secondary third baseman was all over the field during the games, making diving plays and collecting multiple base hits. He has great athleticism for his size with excellent feel for the glove, and his hit tool is strong.

Brayden Hindes  RHP - 2024 - Overland Park, KS

Hindes is a projectable arm with a tall and slender 6-foot-1 frame. He ran his fastball up to 83 mph in this look, utilizing a free and easy delivery and present arm speed. He flashed two quality off speed pitches, and was not afraid to challenge in the zone. Look for Hindes to continue to climb.

Will Hudelson  OF - 2024 - Lenexa, KS
Northwest Missouri State

A middle infielder that impressed with his ability to get to the barrel in game at KC Indoor. Collected four hits in games. Simple swing mechanics getting to a consistent hitting position and putting a level swing on the baseball. Showed some ability in the middle infield as well with developing arm strength.


2025 Top Prospects

Joey Senstock  3B - 2025 - Lincoln, NE
Nebraska

Senstock really opened some eyes in his first ever PG Showcase. Defensively, he showed the ability to play both shortstop and catcher at a high level, as he threw 87 mph from across the infield and recorded a 1.77 pop at 80 mph from behind the dish. He has a high ceiling offensively as well, showcasing a well-connected swing with the bat speed and strength to boot.

Samuel Kemmer  SS - 2025 - Johnston, IA

Kemmer stands at a strong and physical 6-foot-2, 210-pounds, and he uses that strength well at the plate, recording a 90 mph exit velocity. The right-handed hitter has definite bat speed and projects for big power moving forward. In the field, he recorded throws at 86 mph from shortstop and showcasing efficient lateral movements with some rhythm to his actions.

Another 2-way player from this past weekend that really stood out on the mound. The left-handed pitcher showed a low 80's fastball with sink and set up a hard biting slider that missed bats regularly. Also showed some versatility defensively in the field to go with some developing tools at the plate.

Phoenix Thompson  3B - 2025 - Shawnee, KS

Showed ability all over the diamond at KC Indoor. Mid to upper 80's fastball on the mound with an overhand curveball that showed efficient spin. Physical power hitting corner infielder as well with clean glove action and a strong throwing arm. Showed strength in the swing at the plate with the ability to get to the barrel with a lofted bat path.

Showed a blend of hitting and defensive ability this weekend at KC Indoor. Showing some fundamental footwork, soft hands and an accurate throwing arm in defensive workouts. Then showed some promising ability at the plate getting to a consistent fundamental hitting position and getting to the barrel regularly. Nice blend of hitting ability and power.

Carson Umphres  OF - 2025 - Great Bend, KS

A 6-foot-4 athletic potential 2-way talent. Showed plenty of raw tools at KC Indoor. Threw a fastball and a knuckleball on the mound that regularly froze opposing hitters. Developing swing mechanics at the plate with natural hand speed and quick twitch. Produced an exit velo of 91. If he can find a way to get to his power regularly he has a chance. Regardless should have a future at least as a right-handed pitcher.


2026 Top Prospects

Kendall Hagedorn  C - 2026 - Sedalia, MO

Hagedorn put up some quality numbers for a young prospect, as he ran a 6.94 second sixty and recorded a 2.00 second pop time at 74 mph from behind the dish. He showed plenty of polish at the plate as well, displaying good feel for the barrel and quick hands.
