2022 Top Prospects

Tate Shimao  SS - 2022 - Honolulu, HI
Southern California

Shimao is an impressive prospect on both sides of the ball with explosiveness across his game. He ran a 6.65 sixty, has very polished actions with good lateral range and a strong arm clocked up to 87 mph from shortstop and shows explosive bat speed and a handle of the barrel that allows him to get to his strength often.

Matt Little  C - 2022 - Santa Ana, CA
Uncommitted

Little is a strong defensive catcher with the actions and arm strength to stick back there, popping down in the 1.8s, while his ability to generate good bat speed and lift the ball to the middle gives him a solid foundation offensively.

Charlie Mannon  1B - 2022 - Newport Beach, CA
UC Santa Barbara

Mannon is a physical left-handed hitting first baseman who plays the position well with comfort around the bag while showing the ability to impact the ball well, consistently turning the barrel over and driving long contact when lofted to the pull side.

Matt Quintanar  C - 2022 - Sunland, CA
Pepperdine

Quintanar is an explosive player who plays the game with a ton of intent on both sides. He's aggressive working through the ball on throw downs from behind the dish with 80 mph arm strength out of the crouch while he swings it with good bat speed and a plan to drive the ball in the air while at the dish.

Jonathan Peric  RHP - 2022 - Valley Village, CA
Uncommitted

Peric is a well-built right-hander at 6-3/188 and he's got feel for three pitches that project. He was up to 87 mph with the fastball showing arm side life to it while the breaking ball has tight spin to it and he gets good fade on his changeup as he sells it well.

Aiden Dillehay  SS - 2022 - San Diego, CA
North Greenville

Dillehay is a physical right-handed bat with the projection that posits big upside. He's got upper-80s arm strength across the diamond from shortstop, while offensively he works under control and manipulates the barrel well to create strong impact to either gap.

Nikolas Miller  LHP - 2022 - Queen Creek, AZ
Nevada/South Mountain CC

Miller showed some intrigue from the left side with three pitches for strikes. He was up to 84 mph with the fastball as he sunk it well to the arm side, he gets good sweep on the breaking ball as he commands it well and he has a workable changeup as a third pitch all while competing well on the mound.

David Chase  RHP - 2022 - Manhattan Beach, CA
Loyola Marymount

Chase looks the part at 6-3/160 and he's got a good foundation of tools that project. He was up to 84 mph from the outfield and 86 mph on the mound showing two-way upside with three firm pitches for strikes while the bat has strength and he was on the barrel well in game.

2023 Top Prospects

Wyatt Thomas  RHP - 2023 - Huntington Beach, CA
Biola University

Thomas is a primary arm who was up to 83 mph on the mound with some feel to spin, but his strength was his most impressive tool this weekend as he took a good round of batting practice driving the ball to the pull side gap and showed it again in game with some long lofted contact.

Ty Garcia  OF - 2023 - Northridge, CA
Uncommitted

Garcia is a good athlete as a sub-7.0 runner who was also clocked up to 88 mph from the outfield where his athleticism plays well and he has the actions to stick, while the swing is a simple and connected one as he works consistently to the middle of the field and has comfort adjusting the barrel.

2025 Top Prospects

Dylan Wetzel  SS - 2025 - Placentia, CA
California

Wetzel was the youngest prospect in attendance but his handle of the game is what stands out across the board. He has good balance in the infield with a strong internal clock and ability to adjust to hops while offensively its a clean approach as he's connected with his lower half and turns the barrel with some intent as he projects well with strength.
