2021 Top Prospects

Ethan McClain  RHP - 2021 - Roanoke, TX
North Lake College

McClain is a North Lake College signee who put on a well-rounded display of tools that will play well at the next level and also ran a 6.85. Impressive low-effort juice in the bat and a solid arm in the outfield. Very projectable frame to build on as he progresses.


2022 Top Prospects

Elijah Dyke  C - 2022 - Canton, TX
Uncommitted

Dyke was all over the top performers lists, overall efficient and versatile athlete who showed off all the right feel at each position he worked out at. High IQ player with good motor and can run the fastball up to 84 on the mound. The tools are present with great athletic upside, no sign of restraint of where he can establish a defensive home at the next level.

Nolan Foster  RHP - 2022 - McKinney, TX
Texas Tech

Foster had an excellent showing in this one, sitting 87-89 mph and overpowering hitters with his fastball. He worked it to all parts of the zone, showing great command and generating plenty of swings and misses.


2023 Top Prospects

Jordan Allen  OF - 2023 - Longview, TX
Henderson State

Allen had an impressive showcase at the plate. He has easy juice from the right side with natural loft in the barrel to generate power. He makes a lot of loud contact in the air and should continue to add power as he fills out. He posted an impressive exit velocity high of 85 MPH. His athleticism also stood out and he ran a 7.02 60 yard dash. His arm works well on the left-side of the infield and has soft hands for third base.

Cason Davenport  SS - 2023 - Fort Worth, TX
Utah Valley University

Davenport is an interesting two-way follow who put up nice performances on both sides. Solid physicality that moves very well. He highlighted a great feel for the barrel and a live arm with potential on the mound.

Dasan Harris  OF - 2023 - Parker, TX
Oklahoma

Harris was on the most athletic players at the showcase and showed well on both sides of the field as a two-way player. He ran a 6.87 60 yard dash and is an extremely twitchy player. He had quick bat speed with a whippy swing and a recoil finish, nice power to pullside. In the outfield, his arm was up to 85 MPH. The arm plays well on the mound too and has quick arm speed. His frame projects well on the bump with nice projection left and he ran his fastball up to 78 MPH. Had success with a curveball too. Impressive player that profiles well at multiple spots.

Eli Hellmann  SS - 2023 - Georgetown, TX
McLennan CC

Hellman is an above average athlete and transfers it to the field very well. Smooth operating middle infielder covers ground and presents glove skill to both sides. He flashes potential with the bat as well, he is a competitor well at the plate with a very playable swing and fine contact tool.

Jarod Romero  3B - 2023 - Eagle Pass, TX
Uncommitted

Romero held his own as a two-way player and shined both in the workout and in-game. At the plate, has a heavy barrel and good bat speed. Stroked a few nice hits in-game including a well barreled double. His exit velocity was up to 90 MPH. His arm is good in the field and on the mound. Has a compact delivery on the mound and showed good pitchability. His fastball was up to 83 MPH and showed feel for both a curveball and a slider. Also mixed in a nice changeup that had good depth under the fastball. His arm was up to 80 MPH in the field as well has good body control to play tough groundballs in the infield.


2024 Top Prospects

Jaden Barfield  LHP - 2024 - Pearland, TX
Oklahoma

Barfield showed some life on the mound, the young talent has a lot more in tank ahead of him and is already showing mature elements alongside an advanced off-speed mix. He was up to 82 with the fastball that jumps with a confident breaking ball that lands, impressive overall control for his outing and is certainly heading in the right direction.

Roman Cariaga  C - 2024 - Midlothian, TX
Navarro College

Cariaga stood out from the beginning of the showcase putting on an impressive BP. He has a nice compact swing with impressive barrel control. In game, was frequently finding the barrel as well and posted a high exit velocity of 82 MPH. He ran a 60 yard dash of 7.39 which is all the more impressive for a catcher. Behind the dish showed advanced catch and throw ability with good receiving skills. He put up a 2.00 pop time. Solid defensive catcher with a good hit tool.
