1-Gold vs. 2-Navy

Dominic Elam (2022 C, McDonough, GA) utilized strong hands as the right-handed stick impacted with authority. Launched one into the air to the pull-side that was caught deep in leftfield for a sac fly. Power in the swing and projects as such down the road. 

Josiah Harrison (2022 OF, Chesterfield, VA) is in the blog once again as he doubled in the first inning while knocking in a couple of runs. Speed evident as he cruised around the paths. One of the top prospects from the event this week. 

Brandon Peterson (2022 SS, Utica, NY) went big fly to the pull-side as he absolutely unloaded on one. Lift to the swing and knows how to leverage the baseball. Big time power on full-display today. 

Jake Streeter (2022 OF, Sandy Springs, GA) doubled during the action as he let it eat on a middle-middle fastball. Elite hand speed as he gets extended often. Total barrel control. Later went on to homer to the pull-side as well. 

Kelvin Agosto (2022 OF, Vega Baja, PR) played an energetic type game as he bounced around and showed off the hit tool. Earned an infield single and stole a couple bags as well. Made a nice instinctual play as he took home on a past ball and made a nice slide to avoid the tag. 

Dekaron McGruder (2022 SS, Natchez, MS) turned on the jets as he turned a bunt into a single. Busted it out of the box and ran a 3.90 from home to first. Lightning speed showing and one of the top athletes in the event. 

Jay Faulkner (2022 OF, Vestavia, AL) has had a strong showing this week as he topped it off with a double off the top of the left-center wall. Creates lag and when he gets extended, the power in the swing has no ceiling. 

Colby Camps (2022 C, Milton, GA) hit one of the farthest balls we have ever seen on field three. Unloaded on a fastball as he drove it over the building in left-field. Has shown very well behind the dish and ended his day with an absolute tank of a homerun. 

Jean Paul Andrade (2022 1B, San Juan, PR) capped the day off with a long double to the pull-side. Juice in the swing and proved to have feel for the barrel. 

Connor Cox (2022 1B, Longview, TX) with the most impressive swing of the day. Took an outer half fastball and drove it over the left-centerfield fence for an opposite field homer. Took one of the strongest batting practice and found the loudest barrel of the day. 

 

 

 

 

 


2-Navy vs. 3-Orange

Jevarra Martin (2022 LHP, Covington, GA) was mighty impressive on the bump as the 6-foot-5 southpaw shows huge upside. Fastball up to 87 mph and sat there for a majority of his outing. Mixed in a breaking ball showing tight spin and vertical life in the mid-70's. Missed barrels and made it look easy. 

Ariel Rosario (2022 OF, Cutler Bay, FL) absolutely smoked one back up the middle that went right over the pitchers head. Sees spin early out of hand and doesn't miss fastballs when pitchers leave them over the plate. Proved to have some speed on the paths as well. Singled later in the game as well. 

Josiah Harrison (2022 OF, Chesterfield, VA) continues to have a weekend he will never forget. Doubled down the right-field line and was shot out of a cannon as he stretched it to second. Glides on the paths and has shown multiple tools this week. 

Gray Williams (2022 MIF, Chattanooga, TN) proved to have feel for a three pitch mix. Dropping and driving as the fastball was up to 87 mph. Also mixed in a breaking ball showing vertical depth and a changeup fading out of the zone. Missed barrels and was efficient in his work. 

AJ Wenrich (2022 3B, Dauphin, PA) continues to just find loud barrels. Doubled to the pull-side and cruised into second standing up. Easy juice in the swing and has a knack for squaring it up. 


1-Gold vs. 3-Orange

6/16/2021

Dylan Quintilio (2022 RHP, Cumming, GA) started out with a strong showing as he struck out the side in the first. Utilizing a bigger frame and pounded the strike zone. Sitting mid-80's and mixed in a sharp slider as well. Swing and miss type stuff from the big right-hander. Projects in a big way on the bump with plenty more velo in the tank. Five punchouts in three innings of work. 

Dillon Houk (2022 C, Liberty, MO) singled in the first pitch of the game as the right-hander utilized an aggressive approach in the box. Compact swing and does a good job staying inside of it. Proved he can go to all fields over the course of the weekend. Later went on to double to the pull-side as he crushed one off the left-field wall while knocking in a run. 

Jay Faulkner (2022 OF, Vestavia, AL) was full of fast-twitch muscle and he carried that well into game situations. Proved he could turn around velocity as he singled to the pull-side. Proved to have speed and plays an aggressive game on both sides of the ball. Later went on to steal second as well. 

Kristian Sprawling (2022 OF, Olivebranch, MS) continues to impress on the weekend. Singled during the action Wednesday morning as the hand speed is showing as next level ready. Handles the bat with confidence as he stays short and simple to the baseball. Natural feel for finding barrels. 

Armando Torres (2022 SS, Morovis, PR) has made some impressive plays in the infield so far the last few days. Made a great slow roller play and threw a dart to first base off-balanced to get a speedy runner by a half a step. Instincts on defense shining through. 

Sean Shelly (2022 1B, Clearwater, FL) tagged one during the action as he doubled down the left-field line. Easy power in the swing as he knows how to leverage the baseball. Projects as a power type bat down the road. 

AJ Wenrich (2022 3B, Dauphin, PA) showed off the power during the action as he tripled into the left-center gap. Also proved he could run a bit as he cruised into third standing up. Stays compact in the swing and knows how to create lag. One of the loudest barrels from the game. 

Cris Banks (2022 OF, Towson, MD) ended the game in loud fashion as he squared one up and singled to the pull-side. Knocked in a run while doing so. Quiet actions and stays under-control at all times. 


Batting Practice Highlights

6/15/2021

Aiden Dillehay (2022 SS, San Diego, CA) stayed short and simple to the baseball as he proved he could square it up often. Peppered the middle of the field and proved to have some juice in the pull-side gap. 

Cole Gonzales (2022 OF, Newberry, FL) generated easy bat speed as he dropped the bat head on the baseball. Proved he could drive it with power to the pull-side as well during his round. 

Hunter Stone (2022 C, Wake Forest, NC) proved that he could leverage the baseball as he swung it with thump. Got extended and drove through the baseball consistently. 

Connor Cox (2022 1B, Longview, TX) took one of the more impressive rounds of batting practice as the smooth swinging lefty put on a show. Drove it with carry into the right-centerfield gap and projects as a power hitter in the future. 

Kelvin Agosto (2022 OF, Vega Baja, PR) flashed hand speed as he was quiet in his pre-pitch actions. Fired the hands and hips as he squared up the baseball out front. Proved to have some power to the pull-side later in his round as well. 

Colby Camps (2022 C, Milton, GA) showcased power in his round of batting practice. When he got extended and timed it up, the baseball jumped off the barrel. Drove it deep into a strong wind. 

Brandon Peterson (2022 SS, Utica, NY) flashed plus power during his round as the left-handed stick launched baseballs into the deepest parts of the park. Proved he can leverage the baseball and projects easy power down the road. 

Jake Streeter (2022 OF, Sandy Springs, GA) proved to have some twitch in the box as the hands work. Next level hand speed on display as he closed his round with a healthy serving of loud barrels. 

Erick Delgado (2022 C, Miami, FL) did a good job creating backspin as he attacked downhill and when he squared it up, he proved to have some power in the swing. Drove it gap to gap as he went with the pitch. 

Kaden Galason (2022 SS, Kathleen, GA) had a strong showing in workouts and the talents carried over into batting practice. Natural lift to the swing combined with quick hands, a recipe for loud barrels. Doesn't get cheated as he went after it with intent. 

Victor Heredia Jr (2022 SS, Santa Ynez, CA) was real balanced and under control at all times as he proved to have feel for the bat head. Stayed linear through the zone and got extended as well. Sprayed it on a line to all fields during his round. 

Walker Rempfer (2022 RHP, Milton, GA) peppered both of the gaps during his round. Lift to the swing showing as he created separation and went after baseballs. Found the barrel early and often during his session. 

Sean Shelly (2022 1B, Clearwater, FL) proved to have some of the most power we saw from the day. Leveraged the baseball as he looked to leave the yard to the pull-side and did just that with his last swing of the day. 

AJ Wenrich (2022 3B, Dauphin, PA) started his round off professionally as he sprayed it on a line to the gaps. Later opened up and started to drive it deep to the pull-side. Drove one into the howling wind as he left the yard in deep left-center. 

Jaxon Brooks (2022 3B, Burlington, IA) utilized a strong frame as he swung it with authority. Stayed inside the baseball and got extended consistently during his round. Flashed easy power and drove it over the fence to the pull-side. 

Edwin Toribio (2022 3B, Statesboro, GA) continued to impress as the right-handed stick looked to do damage with every cut and did just that. Pull-side power showing as he lifted the baseball with ease. 


1-Gold vs. 2-Navy

Brandon Peterson (2022 SS, Utica, NY) impacted with some juice as the smooth swinging lefty put a charge into one early in the action. Drove it right over the second basemans head as the rightfielder made a good play just to keep him at first. Also went on to steal a bag to further prove his tool set. 

Michael Sims (2022 3B, Dacula, GA) just missed one as he flew out to deep centerfield. Huge power potential as he lets it go with every cut he takes. One of the loudest barrels found in the contest. 

Josiah Harrison (2022 OF, Chesterfield, VA) continues to impress in multiple facets of the game. Jumps on the mound and was up to 89 mph with the heater. Flashed a sharp vertical breaking ball as well and when he found the release point, he proved he could get swing and miss. 

Jameison "Macky" Rowland (2022, 1B, Eastman, GA) proved he could do some damage at the plate as he took a good upper-80's outside fastball and doubled down the rightfield line. Strength in hands present and when he finds the barrel, he has unlimited power. 

Will Kennedy (2022 LHP, Old Bridge, NJ) flashed big time upside on the bump as the left-hander filled up the zone for a true feel for a three-pitch mix. Fastball up to 83 mph and mixed in a parachute of a changeup that had guys swinging over it. Rounded the arsenal off with a sharp breaking ball showing depth with 1-to-7 movements. 

 


2-Navy vs. 3-Orange

6/15/2021

Kaden Galason (2022 SS, Kathleen, GA) impressed during workouts and showed off his instincts in game. Singled in the first inning and then went on to steal both second and third on back to back pitches. Fast twitch type athlete as he bounces around and creates opportunities with his speed. Plus defender in the field as well. Later went on to single again in the last inning of the contest. Also jumped on the mound and was up to 83 mph during his inning of work. 

Lucas Elissalt (2022 RHP, Miami, FL) started on the hill and was solid throughout he outing. Bigger frame and utilized his size as he delivered downhill from a higher slot. Filled up the lower half of the zone with a low-80's fastball. Topped out at 85 mph later in his outing. Mixed in a short diving slider and a tumbling changeup as well. Feel for all three pitches and missed plenty of barrels. Struck out four in his three innings of work. 

Zachary Harris (2022 RHP, Milton, GA) was up to his usual stuff as he flashed plus pitchability and pounded the lower half of the zone. Fastball sitting upper-80's as he touched a few 90's. Slider showing tight spin in the upper-70's with short vertical life. Knows how to miss barrels and was efficient in his work. Naturally tough angle from three-quarter slot. 

Liam Houghton (2022 1B, Sandy Spring, MD) tagged the baseball during batting practice and carried that hot streak over into games. Barreled one up as he drove it right back up the middle. Bat on ball skills present as he impacts with juice while under control. 

Isaac Lucas (2022 LHP, Oakland, CA) threw a gem in his two innings of work. The lefty was free and easy in his actions as he ran the fastball up into the mid-80's. Threw a parachute changeup that had guys swinging over the top of it. Rounded off the secondaries with a nasty slider that he dropped on the back foot of right-handed hitters. Projects in a big way on the hill as the pitchability was on full display from the west coast native. 

Edwin Toribio (2022 3B, Statesboro, GA) was a physically impressive prospect as he stands at a filled out 6-foot-2. Big upper half strength as he generates bat speed with an ease. Fires the lower half and when he times it up, look out. Smoked one right the left-fielder early in the action. 

Victor Heredia Jr (2022 SS, Santa Ynez, CA) ended the contest in a loud fashion as the right-hander was up to 87 mph with life out of hand. Complimented the heater nicely with a sharp breaking ball showing depth. Struck out the side and did it without breaking a sweat in the hot Georgia sun.
