The Arkansas recruiting class comes in at No. 5 and it should come as no surprise that this strong program continues to recruit well. Their 2021 class was especially impressive, and despite losing four players to the draft, got a tremendous group of talent on campus. They’ll hope to do the same with this class. The foundation of this recruiting class came from the South-Central area, where they typically recruit well, but the Razorbacks also found success going out West as well.

The 2022 class of 17 players currently is headlined by Perfect-Game All American and top-5 overall recruit Jayson Jones. He’s easily one of the most skilled hitters in the country with impressive bat speed and barrel control in his right-handed swing. He’s also a rare blend of physicality and athleticism who has the tools to stay on the left side of the infield. He has a plus arm and smooth actions on the dirt combined with an above-average run tool. If he makes it to campus, Jones will be a no-doubt impact player right away.

Adding to the offensive talent in the Razorbacks’ recruiting class are Mason Neville and Easton Swofford. Neville has big offensive tools across the board and has a plus-plus run tool (ran a 6.28 60-yard dash at PG National). Swofford has a solid blend of athleticism and projection to his game. Right-handed pitchers Cooper Dossett and Christian Foutch both have the potential to be impactful arms right away for the Razorbacks’ pitching staff. Dossett in particular has some impressive arm talent clocked over 100 mph from the outfield and up to 95 mph on the mound. Cole Phillips is another arm recruited from the Lone Star State who could be very impactful from this class. He’s been low-90s with feel to spin a solid breaking ball with an athletic frame.

As if they needed more talented arms in this class, left-handed pitchers Parker Coil, Kyndon Lovell and Sean Fitzpatrick give this class some impressive depth. Coil and Lovell both come from the Sooner State. Coil has a true three-pitch mix and a very fluid/easy operation. Fitzpatrick is a very projectable arm already up to 90 mph from the Houston area.
