South World Series Scout Notes: Day 1 | Day 2 | Day 3

Academy Select 17U Ingram captured their second pool play win of the tourney as they cruised past the Dallas Patriots 17u – Senato club by the score of 8-0, in a 5 inning run-rule contest. University of Houston commit, Jason Hawkins (2021, Allen, TX) threw a masterful complete game. The 6-2, 200 pound rising senior at Plano HS, used a solid two pitch mix and a quick, efficient pace in going the distance. His well-commanded 83-87 mph fastball was thrown primarily to glove side edge. He complimented his fastball with a solid 78-79 mph change-up. The primary catcher and power hitter, threw only 70 pitches in his five inning stint, striking out 10, allowing only one hit and walking only one in a very commendable performance.
