Clavon is a double threat on both the baseball and football field, playing baseball for the East Cobb Astros 17U and football for Kell High School out of Marietta, GA. Finding immense success in both sports, Clavon is currently the No.17-ranked baseball player in the country for the class of 2024 and the No. 4-ranked shortstop.

“I feel like you can always improve on anything, especially as a shortstop,” the Astros shortstop said Friday afternoon. “But yeah, I would say (my defense) is pretty strong. I've got a good glove and make strong throws.”

Since the start of the 2023 season in May, Clavon has also proved to be an offensive weapon at the plate, batting .500 on the season through 18 at-bats.

In the Astros' first pool game of the 2023 PG Southeast Memorial Day Classic on May 25, Clavon went 2-for-3 at the plate, reaching on a single to the third baseman and a fly ball to left field, accounting for two of the team's six hits against the Nelson Baseball School.

“I've been working a lot on my offense, hitting every day,” Clavon said about his at-bats. “It's early in the season so I just got to keep on going and keep on improving throughout the season.”

Outside of baseball, Clavon has found great success on the football field, leading the Kell Longhorns to a 10-2 record as a quarterback for the 2022-23 varsity team. During the season Clavon was named Kell’s Offensive Player of the Week twice.

“I love baseball. So if I do go to college there might be a chance that I play both, but the ultimate goal is getting drafted out of high school.”

In March of 2023, ahead of the summer baseball season Rawlings and Perfect Game named Clavon to first-team Underclass Preseason All-American alongside 100 of the other top players from around the country.

In Friday's second pool game, on May 26, Clavon and the Astros won 5-2 over the 5 Star West 17U to capture another win and they now prepare to face the 5 Star 17U Southeast team this afternoon.
