Logan Bevis (2023 Longwood, FL) is a tall and long 6-6/215 right-handed pitcher who showed big stuff for Monteverde Academy in the night game on Friday. The South Florida commit went five innings and struck out eight opposing hitters. His heavy heater averaged 92 mph and he worked north-south to get empty swings. There is feel to spin and when the hand speed is kept up he can tunnel and get batters taking bad cuts. The upside is real and he seems to make jumps from a stuff standpoint in every outing. When he is stronger and harnesses the timing, it should equate to a real threat at the next level.
