Fall South World Series Scout Notes

Michael Allen (2026, Cypress, Texas) has been a table-setter all fall for his Scorpions Moore club as his ability at the top of the lineup has been instrumental in the team's two deep runs over their last two events. Allen is able to keep the barrel in the zone for an extended period of time and attack the inside part of the baseball without the swing getting long. The twitch in the hands produces the flashes of pop we see from his right-handed swing when he drives the ball toward the gaps and is able to find extra bases. The offensive profile rounds out well on the bases with enough speed to get himself in scoring position and put pressure on the defense when the situation calls for it. Defensively, Allen showed versatility spending time in the outfield and behind the dish, with the athleticism helping in both spots.
