Game Highlights: 4-Navy v. 3-Green

Joey Rochman (2030, O’Fallon, Ill.) added an extra base knock working into right field to start the day off. He was able to get the hands to one and lift it, showing some feel to loft. He had strength at impact – showing a good swing on the extra-base hit. He also made a spectacular catch in right field as well. 

 

Brady Heuter (2029, Edwardsville, Ill.) came out working the low- to mid-70s on the fastball, with some life to it. He flashed an upper-70s curveball in the mix, with bigger shape and depth. Showed some feel to miss barrels and was able to show projectable actions during his outing on the mound.

 

Halston Hicks (2029, Springfield, Mo.) took the hands to one and was able to lift the ball well, working the other way, he was able to connect and hammer it to the backside gap. Saw it down in right center, and he cruised into second with a double. 


Kaden Mendenhall (2029, Lee's Summit, Mo.) added a base knock. He stayed on time for one and was able to drive the ball out in front, working to left field. He picked up a single and was able to show some bat-to-ball skills.

Blake Coppernoll (2029, Millstadt, Ill.) added a base knock working back up the middle to kick off the game. He was able to get on the barrel and drive one working out in front, seeing it down in centerfield. He added a base knock in his next at-bat as well, lining one through the middle of the field. 

 

Carson Gibson (2029, Chatham, Ill.) worked into the low-70s on the fastball and was able to mix his spots and command the zone. He threw strikes and paired the fastball with a bigger 11-5 shaped curveball in the mix. 

 

Jace Boessen (2029, Centertown, Mo.) added a base knock after showing some feel to work out in front and drive the baseball. He produced a hard-hit line drive into left field, picking up a base hit, with good barrel accuracy to get the job done and tally a hit. 

 

Kinnick McGrath (2029, New Hampton, Iowa) added a base knock. He drove one into right center, showing some hand speed and bat speed – impacting it well with some feel to be on the barrel and drive hard through it. 


Jaxon Porter (2029, Fayetteville, Ark.) added a base knock working to centerfield as he showed some hand speed and barrel accuracy. He was able to impact one out in front and drive it on a line for the base hit.

Graham Eisel (2029 SS, St. Louis, MO) got to the barrel to line a double to LF in his first at-bat today. Middle infielder with a compact swing and developing bat speed. Also threw 2 efficient innings on the mound today locating a FB and CB.

Brooks Madigan (2029 RHP, Maryville, IL) turned and lined a sharp base hit to RF in game today. Tight turns with developing bat speed. Showed several developing traits throughout the day. 2-way talent. 

Jake Shetler (2028 OF, Strafford, MO) turned on a fastball and launched a 2-run HR to RCF today. Athletic 2-way talent with developing strength and bat speed. Big swing today. 

Joey Rochman (2030 OF, Ofallon, IL) left-handed hitter that lifted a pitch with backspin carry for a double off the fence today. Consistent balanced at-bats today getting to a fundamental hitting position and putting quality swings on the baseball.

Halston Hicks (2029 OF, Springfield, MO) 2-way talent that threw 2 quality innings on the mound today. Located the mid 70’s fastball and 2 off speed pitches. Also put a quick compact swing on a fastball to line a base hit to LF. Physical with traits to develop on both sides of the baseball. 

Brady Hueter (2029 RHP, Edwardsville, IL) put a well connected swing on a pitch to drive a double to RCF in game today. Athletic swing patterns with a blend of strength and bat speed.

Reese Mehrtens (2029 1B, Millstadt, IL) lifted a pitch to straight away CF fro a home run today. Physical RHH with the ability to impact the baseball. Developing blend of strength and bat speed at the plate. Also up to 78 on the mound with feel for landing a breaking ball for strikes as well.

14u Batting Practice Highlights

Blake Coppernoll (2029, Millstadt, Ill.) took some good swings from the right side with a spread base and some feel for the barrel. He worked to the middle of the field with a shorter and compact swing, driving the ball with barrel accuracy. 

 

Jace Boessen (2029, Centertown, Mo.) took BP from both sides of the plate. He showed some feel to work back up the middle and drive the ball pull-side. Best swings came as a righty working to center/left center. Showed some feel to loft the ball as a lefty as well, pulling some into right field. 

 

Halston Hicks (2029, Springfield, Mo.) swings it well from the right side of the dish, showing good feel to get barrel jump at impact and drive the ball. He showed good bat speed and was able to stay loose, working through contact. Hicks took some really good hacks during BP. 

 

Graham Eisel (2029, St. Louis, Mo.) handled the bat well during BP, showing feel to impact it out in front and flash some bat speed. He showed an aggressive move working through it, with some length and extension. His best results came working pull-side and back up the middle with some jump off it, during his rounds of BP. 

 

Joey Rochman (2030, O’Fallon, Ill.) took some good hacks, showing a smooth left-handed stroke. He was able to pull the ball into right/right center with feel to impact and create some jump off of it. Showed projectable bat-to-ball skills, with some feel for the barrel showing as well. 

 

Jake Shetler (2028, Strafford, Mo.) handled the bat well from the left side, with a coiled load and hard turn through contact, uncoiling well into contact. He showed some strength and bat speed, driving the ball well, working pull-side and into the gap, with hard-hit line drives. 

 

Cooper Italiano (2029, Maryville, Ill.) was able to impact the ball well during BP, showing feel to lift and create some loft into right field. He had some feel to show length through contact and put together a good round of swings from the left side. 

 

Brooks Madigan (2029, Maryville, Ill.) was able to show an easy and simple stroke from the left side. He was able to impact it out in front and stay loose, working through the zone. Madigan could get extended and drive hard through contact, producing some hard-hit balls during his round of BP. 

 

Kaden Mendenhall (2029, Lee's Summit, Mo.) showed a loose stroke working through it, yielding some feel to drive the ball working pull-side into right field. He was able to get to it out in front and drive the ball with strength. Took some good hacks during BP. 

 

Brady Heuter (2029, Millstadt, Ill.) swung the bat well from the right side of the plate, driving the ball to the gaps, showing good strength off the barrel. He showed good extension through it and was able to impact it for hard-hit line drives. Took good hacks during his round of BP swings. 

 

Jaxon Porter (2029, Fayetteville, Ark.) has a smooth right-handed stroke, driving the ball hard, working pull-side. He was able to drive the ball on a line and impact it well with strength. Took some really loud swings during BP and was able to live on the barrel and impact it when synced up.
