Samuel Haddad (2030 RHP, El Paso, TX) was a two-way standout in Game 1. Threw three shutout innings where he struck out seven and added a LD single into the RC gap. T76 with his fastball while mixing in a quality breaking ball he showed the ability to land in-zone. Smooth LH stroke at the plate working the barrel on a level path through.
Michael Guidi (2030 RHP, San Diego, CA) was dominant in his three innings of working giving up no hits and struck out seven. Slow and methodical down the mound but creates length and repeats. 63% strikes in his outing. Produced swing and miss with his mid 70s fastball and landed his slurvy breaking ball in-zone.
Trevor Hammack (2030 RHP, Tucson, AZ) had a 2H game with his best knock being a LD through the middle where he stayed inside it nicely and worked the barrel with good length in the path.
Jackson Kaplowitz (2030 SS, El Paso, TX) drove one over the LF's head for a double. Flatter stroke working the barrel with some out front intent. Also added three quality innings on the mound.
Julian Benitez (2030 SS, El Paso, TX) lined one hard back up the middle for a single. Keeps it real simple/easy with his lower half as his hands work the barrel on a more direct path to the baseball.
Kal-El Ramirez (2029 C, Avondale, AZ) grounded one hard through the 5-6 hole for a single. Eliminated the lower half and let his quick hands play, throwing a short/direct barrel through the zone.
Grayson Kruchko (2030 OF, Cave Creek, AZ) had a 2H game. Lined one hard up the middle for a single and grounded one hard into left. Shorter bat path that levels out into contact.
Nicolas Hammerstein (2031 SS, Kihei, HI) had one of the better swings of the day. Simple LH stroke where he sat back on a breaking ball and lined it the other way for a single.
Byron Nava (2031 C, Phoenix, AZ) collected his two hits with his best being a double down the LF line. Kept his hands in tight on an inside fastball and back spun it to the pull side.
