Kody Anderson (2029, Troy, Ill.) added a base knock on the first pitch of the game. He elevated the barrel and turned on one working pull-side into left field for a line-drive base knock. He added another base knock in his second at-bat, working inside out through one. The righty added a third hit late in the game as well. Anderson also worked up to 81 mph on the fastball in his outing on the mound with good arm speed shown. Flashed an 11-5 shaped breaking ball in the mix that also induced whiffs.
Lyric Gray (2029, Bay Ark.) was able to show off a smooth stroke with some feel to impact. He drove the ball hard in the air, working back up the middle. Showed a loose stroke with some athleticism throughout, generating some jump off the barrel. Gray added another hit later one, belting one working pul-side that would have sat down in the gap nicely. Also jumped on the mound and worked up to 77 mph on the fastball with a low-60s curveball to pair.
Jack Stokes (2029, Prairieville, La.) put together some good swings during BP and continued the success in-game. He hammered one working pull-side for a base knock. Simple process at the plate with a ton of athleticism and traits to like. Worked the upper-70s on the fastball with a feel for a downer-shaped curveball with a good bite. He mixed well and commanded during his outing.
Ben Bartlett (2029, Bloomington, Ill.) came out working the 75-79 mph range with ease, showing a loose arm action and a good feel to command the zone; he spun the fastball up above 2,200 RPMs as well. Showed a breaking ball in the low-60s with sweeping 10-4/10-5 depth to it. Really dominant outing.
Hurley Bennett (2029, Waverly, Ill.) found a barrel during one of his at-bats. He turned hard on one and belted it to left field. He showed some feel to lift and good barrel speed to impact one with strength off of it – a quality swing from the right-hander.
Cole Gerner (2030, St. Louis, Mo.) added a base knock as he stayed on time for one and drove it hard back up the middle. He delivered the barrel on a good path, with a loose & fluid stroke, to pick up a line drive base hit.
Logan Young (2030, Festus, Mo.) added a base knock to his credit, driving one on a line working backside. He stayed on time and drove one back through the middle of the field shaded into the right-center gap.
