With the fall circuit mostly complete, our scouts across the country dive into some of the uncommitted names in their region who have the talent and skill to make an impact at the next level.  *All players below are listed as uncommitted on their Perfect Game profile at the time of publishing*



David Zazueta, LHP, Rio Rico, Ariz. 
Class of 2024 | PG Rank: 500

Zazueta was a consistent dominant arm on the mound for our four-corner staff where he totaled 27 tournament innings and had a 1.82 ERA and 36 strikeouts which doesn’t include good showings at the PG Underclass All American Games and the Southwest Prospect Showcase. It’s a loose/quick arm that runs the fastball into the upper 80s with some hard ASR. His low 70s curveball flashes some quality shape showing more 1-7 action that he can induce some chase/whiff on under barrels due to some late downer break. He also flashes a quality upper 70s fading changeup. There are not many more polished LH arms on the uncommitted market. 


Caden Truman, SS/2B, Mesa, Ariz. 
Class of 2024 | PG Rank: 500

Truman was a high-level performer at almost all of our regional tournaments this past summer/fall. For 2023, he slashed .423/.538/.646 within a pretty large sample. It’s a solid top-of-the-order switch hitting profile that consistently shows quality bat-to-ball skill from both sides. There’s also some decent athleticism that translates on the basepaths and at SS which he defends well and might have a chance to stay there at the next level. 

Jett Walker, SS/RHP, Cedar Hills, UT. 
Class of 2024 | PG Rank: 500

Walker’s performance at SS, at the plate, and even on the mound made him such an easy uncommitted standout to our scouting staff this past tournament season. It’s an athletic profile that translates to solid defensive actions that look like they can stick up the middle at the next level. At the plate, there’s rhythm and simplicity to the swing where his quick hands turn the barrel on-time and with accuracy. Then there’s what he can do on the mound which is run it up to 89 mph within a repeatable and easy operation. Even though it’s a smaller frame, coaches shouldn’t ignore the athleticism, advanced skill and performance.  


Gavin Short, 3B/1B, Phoenix, Ariz. 
Class of 2024 | PG Rank: Top 1000

In 2023, Short slashed .371/.494/.516 at PG tourneys and has proved to be one of the stronger uncommitted bats left on the market. It’s a physical/athletic frame at 6-foot-2, 195 pounds that at the plate brings some advanced bat speed and noticeable strength at impact where he’s capable of driving the ball with authority to all fields within a relatively simple and balanced swing. Defensively, it’s a corner profile but the offensive power he provides makes it a fit regardless if he ends up at 3B or 1B. 

Brett Crossland, RHP, Phoenix, Ariz. 
Class of 2025 | PG Rank: 22

Crossland is as big and physical as it gets in the ‘25 class with his 6-foot-6 and 245 pound frame. It’s imposing mound presence and serious arm strength where he can run the fastball up to 96 that exhibits some dowhill sinking action from a higher release making it hard to barrel. He mixes in an overhand 12-6 breaker that froze hitters all summer/fall and flashes a quality changeup that tunnels well off the fastball. He’s the #2 uncommitted pitcher in the class. 
 

Cooper Clouser, 3B/C, Phoenix, Ariz. 
Class of 2025 | PG Rank: 440

Clouser had a strong 2024 summer and fall at the plate which included standout performances at several of our regional tournaments and even some loud barrels at Area Codes. It’s a physical LH bat that shows flashes of an advanced hit tool with quality and developing impact. The swing is loose and fluid where there’s some innate barrel feel and adjustability. Defensively there’s solid arm strength that plays at both 3B and behind the plate. Clouser is already on a ton of radars and I don’t expect him to be uncommitted much longer. 

Case Beames, RHP, Salt Lake City, Utah
Class of 2025 | PG Rank: 500

Only had two quick looks at Beames but he showed off one of the best breaking balls I saw all summer and fall. It’s a wiry athletic frame that moves within a low-effort and loose operation that has some untapped potential. He runs the fastball up to 87 but his upper 70s breaker he gets upwards of 2900 RPMs on has plus pitch characteristics already showing sharp late action that induces consistent whiffs and buckled takes where he throws it with extreme confidence and feel. He’s another arm I expect that schools are moving fast on right now.


Cody Stoller, RHP, Phoenix, Ariz. 
Class of 2025 | PG Rank: 500

Stoller seemed to get stronger with each summer outing our staff took in of his. He totaled 25 innings where he had a 1.96 ERA and 26 strikeouts. There’s some noticeable projection to his wiry 6-foot-2, 165-pound frame. It’s a repeatable and clean operation where his present stuff is solid. He currently sits in the mid 80s and has topped 88 with the fastball. Has shown a shorter/tight slider that he has natural feel in-zone for and flashes a quality changeup. The arrow is pointing up with Stoller as I wouldn’t be surprised if we are looking at a low 90s arm this time next year. 

Anthony Montez, SS, Vail, Ariz. 
Class of 2025 | PG Rank: 500

When talking of the top 2025 SSs in AZ, you have to mention Montez. It’s smooth defensive actions where he shows soft hands, light/quick feet, and a quality arm across exhibiting all the early signs of it playing at the next level. At the plate, he performed well in two summer tourneys of ours where he slashed .463/.565/.563. He keeps it quiet and simple with his load allowing for easy timing and his hands throw the barrel with some sneaky bat speed and impact, especially to the pullside. He’s on the top of my own follow list for next spring and should be on a bunch of college’s lists already. 

David Sheppard, LHP, Goodyear, Ariz. 
Class of 2025 | PG Rank: Top 1000

Since the start of the summer for Sheppard, all its been is dominance on the mound with his 1.06 ERA in 33 PG innings. He’s a pitchablity LH arm who shows flashes of deceptive athleticism within his operation and consistently pounds the strike zone each outing. It’s a low 80s fastball currently that gets a sneaky good amount of in-zone whiff. He also mixes in a fading changeup and a tight slider that show quality traits. He’s an already intriguing uncommitted follow and should garner even more attention as the velo continues to climb.

Ian Haines, C, Buckeye, Ariz. 
Class of 2024 PG Rank: Top 500

Haines is an intriguing backstop that can produce on both sides of the ball. There is advanced catch and throw ability behind the plate that combines with solid athleticism and actions. On the offensive side, Haines has quality power that plays gap to gap and should only continue to add more down the line. 

Reece Van Devander, 1B/RHP, Scottsdale, Ariz. 
Class of 2024 PG Rank: Top 500

Van Devander features a physical frame at 6-foot-3, 220-pounds. Quality strength generates intriguing pullside power at the plate, as Van Devander slugged nearly .600 across 29 games this year and can produce exit velocities in the upper-90’s. There is some two-way ability present as well, posting a 0.63 ERA across 22 1/3 innings of work. A mid-80’s fastball and sharp curveball consistently stay off the barrel. 

Jaiden LoRe, SS, Phoenix, Ariz. 
Class of 2025 PG Rank: 396

LoRe is an advanced athlete that can play up the middle and possesses top of the order traits offensively. Feel for the barrel and a sound, all-fields approach allows for consistent quality contact at the plate. Advanced bat to ball skills resulted in an impressive 14:2 walk to strikeout rate this year and helped produce a 1.022 OPS. The arm and athleticism should allow LoRe to stick at shortstop long term. 

Ethan Zufall, RHP, Broomfield, Colo. 
Class of 2025 PG Rank: 229

Zufall has the potential to be a dominant arm, showing loud swing and miss stuff throughout his prep career so far. The righthander features a low-90’s fastball that gets on hitters quickly. A sharp slider pairs well with the heater and can get uncomfortable whiffs often. The power stuff allowed Zufall to strikeout 27 hitters in 14 2/3 innings of work, while posting a 0.00 ERA. 

Cam Jantz, OF/RHP, Gilbert, Ariz. 
Class of 2025 PG Rank: Top 500

Jantz features a projectable 6-foot-4, 190-pound frame and intriguing two-way ability. Pullside power has already started to show at the plate with plenty more coming as the frame fills out. Sound athleticism and speed add another dimension to the offensive profile. On the mound, the fastball has been up to 89 mph and pairs with a tight, mid-70’s slider. The upside on both sides of the ball make for an enticing profile. 

Matthew Delaney, RHP, Albuquerque, N.M.
Class of 2025 PG Rank: 298

Delaney possesses an intriguing mix of present stuff and projectability. The righthander features a four pitch mix with some deception at release due to an over the top release. The fastball has been up to 89 mph with some natural sink and projects well for more velocity as the 6-foot-2, 190-pound frame continues to fill out. Both a tight slider and 12-6 curveball are used off the heater, along with a fading, mid-70’s changeup. Delaney recorded 23 strikeouts and posted a 0.50 ERA in 14 innings this year. 

Coby Neville, OF, Glendale, Ariz. 
Class of 2025 PG Rank: Top 500

Neville features an advanced left-handed bat that has shown the ability to produce consistently. Feel for the barrel and quality approach allows for line drives to be sprayed to all fields. Neville profiles well at the top of the order, where bat to ball skills and on-base ability can set the tone early. The young hitter posted a .444 OBP and walked more than he struck out this year. 

Preston Armstrong, C/UTL, Goodyear, Ariz. 
Class of 2025 PG Rank: Top 500

Armstrong is a physical backstop that can consistently produce at the plate. A 6-foot-3, 215-pound frame generates hard hit contact regularly and combines with high on-base ability to make an enticing profile. Armstrong stays short to contact and has shown quality feel for the strikezone. The backstop produced a .966 OPS and walked at 16.3% clip across 27 games this year. 

Riley Brown, CIF, Cottonwood Heights, Utah
Class of 2025 PG Rank: 354

Brown features a physical, compact frame that can produce hard hit contact regularly. A simple, low-effort swing with strength at contact generates loud contact to the pullside when squared up. The bat has run-producing traits and combines with solid speed to make a quality, well-rounded profile. 

Ryan Harwood, OF/1B, Chandler, Ariz.
Class of 2026 PG Rank: 20

Harwood possesses massive power potential to go along with an advanced hit tool that only continues to get better. A physical 6-foot-3, 225-pound frame stands out in the box and can generate loud contact regularly. Sound barrel control and feel for the strikezone give the profile some of the highest upside in the class. Harwood posted a ridiculous .375/.490/.600 slashline this year on the circuit after a dominant freshman campaign in the spring. 

Jackson Weber, C/SS, Phoenix, Ariz. 
Class of 2026 PG Rank: 456

Weber put together a dominant ‘23 campaign, posting .456/.515/.737 slashline across 21 games played. The hit tool carries the profile, consistently finding barrels and drive balls with authority at a young age. Quality athleticism adds another dimension to the offensive profile and plays well defensively both on the infield and behind the plate. There are obvious tools present that have already shown the ability to produce consistently.

Lucien Saint Cyr, INF, Class of 2026 Commitment: Bucknell Saint Cyr announced his pledge to Bucknell, giving the Bison an interesting blend of present tools and projection. Saint Cyr stands 6-foot-1 and offers room to fill in his medium frame, profiling in the middle infield defensively. The New York product starts wide at the base in the right-handed box, keeping his hands high behind the ear. He works into a subtle outward step load, firing through a compact barrel that showcases bat speed and gap-to-gap impact. The college players in the 2028 draft class have yet to step on campus, but they're positioned to make an immediate impact. Several high end talents either turned down significant money last year or honored strong college commitments, resulting in their arrival on campus this fall. The class is currently led by a trio of high-upside arms in Jack Bauer, Angel Cervantes, and Cameron Appenzeller. They are followed by a deep group of bats that rounds out a strong, high end Top-10. Looking Back at the 2025 Top 10  Matt Barr (‘25 Niagara, ‘26 Minnesota Twins) Bursting onto the scene last winter, footage of an indoor bullpen rocketed Barr onto the radar of many. Explosive fastball reaches near triple digits with incredible spin numbers across the secondaries. Huge numbers at Niagara earned him the title of the first Juco player drafted in 2025. MVPitcher: Duncan McLeod The uncommitted junior toed the slab in three of the four games for Team Mick, tossing 3 2/3 innings.  Zero walks, zero hits and 6 punchouts for the lefty who was used both as a starter in the series clinching game 4 and he closed out game 3 on Friday in quick fashion.  McLeod was very efficient as well, needing just 42 pitches over all his outings.  In the game 4 start, over two innings he punched out 3, with one strikeout with all of his offerings.  The mid 80’s fastball regularly played up, set up with efficient use of the secondaries, with the breaking ball 73/74 and fading change-up 72-74.   Owen Bone (2026) at it again... What a year it was in 2025 on the national landscape at the 13u level as Perfect Game continues to expand its reach around the country, providing an even bigger schedule of events coast-to-coast which has allowed players all over show out and gain their deserved recognition. Whether in Texas for the Houston 1000 or the 13u WWBA in West Palm Beach, we saw huge, eye opening performances from the players placed below, knowing that we could EASILY build a third team and likely a fourth without much effort.  As we do every year with this exercise, it's worth pointing out the trickiness of this age group and putting the teams together with the 13u group. Player of the Year: Asher Williams It was an incredible year for Williams that was rewarded with a trip to the 14U Select Fest, before some more impressive play in the fall. He came to the plate almost 250 times in PG tournaments throughout 2025 and reached base in well over half of them, hitting to a .500 AVG while slugging a 14U circuit best 12 bombs and driving in 113 runs. The numbers on the surface are ridiculous, but when you look at the high-level events he put them up in, it makes it even more impressive. Pitcher of the Year: Tristan Blalock Blalock earns this honor after a dominant 2025 where he struck out 85 batters in just 48.2 innings of work with a minuscule 1.58 ERA. While we are nearing the turn of the calendar to the 2026 year, that means we are just inching closer to the beginning of the season for many high school players and college baseball is on the horizon. We are prepping for a reshuffle of the 2026 MLB Draft Board as well here amongst the PG Draft staff. But before we get to that, we sat down and have each picked a couple of players who are in the mix to get selected in a couple of different buckets.  We have prospects who could go into the Top 30 picks or so, prospects who could be selected in the Top 5 rounds, and prospects who could go inside of the Top 10 rounds. With the draft quite far down the road and a lot of re-shuffling to be done as these players play themselves into certain spots on the draft board, our scouts picked some players who fit into these “buckets” who are gut-feel guys. Hitter of the Year: Landon Bonner The 2028 class saw many players from across the country take the next step in their development as they entered the High School ranks. There were huge performances from highly ranked players on the PG circuit as well as some under-the-radar guys who burst onto the scene. Landon Bonner came into Sophomore National as a Top 500 ranked player and after an impressive showing, left with all eyes on him as a rankings riser in the class. The left-handed hitting shortstop from The Colony, Texas, had a summer to remember with All-Tournament Team selections in three of his next four events culminating with a historic performance at the 2025 PG 15U WWBA National Championship. The Hebron High School prep went 20-for-24 in nine games for 5 Star Mafia 15U Black with four homeruns and 12 runs batted in. He also scored 17 runs and finished with a mind-boggling 2.500...

Hitter of the Year: Koa Romero is the Hitter of the Year for the 16u group, as he would come to every premier event of the summer and earn All-Tournament honors (Beast of the East, 16/17u WWBA, Jupiter) in every single one. Over 82 plate appearances, Romero would pump ten homeruns with forty two RBI and sixteen walks, good for a .378 average and 1.339 OPS. The performance on volume at the best events of the year pushed Romero over the edge here, as he’d hit a pair of homeruns in Jupiter (one of them at 112 EV) as an underclassmen and collect double digit hits in BOTH WWBA events with a combined six jacks over the two tournaments. It was a summer that combined performance and winning on the biggest stages for Romero. It’s a quiet left-handed swing that packs a punch.
