Jailyn Moore (2027 SS, Winston Salem, NC) came out in the first inning and was very sharp. Fastball sat 77-78 mph with feel to spin a sharp breaking ball in the low-60s (2527 RPM). He has a loose, quick arm and tunnels well out of the 3/4 arm slot. Very impressive look at the young right-hander.
Josiah Sloan (2027 LHP, Fayetteville, NC) came out and pumped the zone full of strikes in his outing. The fastball sat in the mid-60s and he didn't have to go away from it very often. He sparingly mixed in a 1-7 shaped breaking ball that he could land for strikes. Nice outing for the lefty.
Noah Price (2027 C, Smithfield, NC) worked a deep count in the early innings and shot a ball into the right center gap for a double. He showed off the inside out path and feel for the barrel on the swing.
Brady Pierson (2027 OF, Apex, NC) got a curveball in the middle of the plate and didn't miss it, sending a hard grounder through the left side of the infield. He has a short, compact swing with good bat speed. He also got a base hit in the later innings right back up the middle.
Tucker Martin (2026 OF, Clemmons, NC) rolled through his two inning relief appearances, registering five strikeouts in dominant fashion. Fastball sat in the low-70s with feel to command it to both sides. He also flashed a breaking ball with depth. He has a loose arm with much more coming.
Eric Branch (2026 C, Elkin, NC) caught a barrel in the middle innings with a double to center field. He got a fastball in the middle of the plate and didn't miss it. He showed good bat speed through the zone on the cut.
Kaden Parker (2027 OF, Burlington, NC) pulled one down the right field line for a double. He has a short swing with advanced barrel control. He's also made a ton of plays out in centerfield, showing good range and athletic movements.
Weston Sykes (2027 MIF, Summerfield, NC) collected a base hit in the later innings of the game with an infield knock. He's also shown good feel for the leather on the infield with a solid arm across. Good performance for him.
Connor Bresler (2027 2B, Glen Gardner, NJ) rolled through his first inning of relief. Fastball sat right around 70 mph with a sharp breaking ball mixed in. He works from the stretch only and keeps it simple, filling up the zone with regularity.
Chandler Hill (2026 SS, Pikeville, NC) had a very solid day in all phases of the game. He had a couple of base hits on the day, fielded the ball well at third base and also was good on the mound. He's an athletic player that can do everything on the field.
Luis Sosa (2027 C, Thomasville, NC) caught a loud barrel in the late innings of the game to drive in a run. He has a smaller build with twitchy athleticism and feel for the barrel in the cut. He has also been very solid on the defensive side in game action.
