Caden Nelson (2026 SS, Olive Branch, MS) continued to shine on defense. He started off with a back handed play in the hole with a perfect one-hop throw to first. A few innings later he made a big league charge and flip on a slow hopper. He closed out the defensive show from centerfield with a perfect throw to third base to nail a runner trying to take an extra base after an overthrow.
Harrison Pollina (2026 OF, Atoka, TN) has a long and lean 6-2/160 pitcher's build although he is a talented primary outfielder. He worked 79-81 on the mound with a long and loose arm to go with a sharp 68 mph curveball with 2300+ spin rate. He's going to be a high velocity arm if continues to work on the mound.
Benjamin Reed (2026 OF, New Albany, MS) is another athletic outfielder who stood out on the mound. He worked in the 79-82 mph range on his fastball and showed some spin on an upper 60's curveball.
Garrett Latham (2026 OF, Olive Branch, MS) is a loose 6-2/165 athlete who throws from the left side. He was 75-77 mph on his fastball with big arm side life from a compact and quick arm action. He threw a nice 69 mph change up as his best secondary pitch and got some outs with it.
Adam Bovinett (2025 3B, Caseyville, IL) continued to find barrels without much to show for it, driving balls deep to right field and center field that were tracked down by the outfielders. His ability to drive the ball consistently in the air will serve him well in the future.
Ayden Wilbanks (2026 SS, Walnut, MS) will be an analytics favorite on the mound if the primary shortstop continues to pitch. His 80-82 mph fastball consistently registered in the 2300+ area and his breaking ball showed nice sharpness while topping 2500 a couple of times. His athleticism will be a big plus for him at both positions.
Aiden Valente (2026 SS, Greenwood, MS) and Colson Alexander (2026 SS, Olive Branch, MS) were very similar on their respective trips to the mound, working consistently in the 77-79 mph area and doing a good job throwing strikes.
