6/1/2022 5:55:54 PM

Sawyer Haynes (2024 SS, Waco, TX) showed off the strength in his first AB, driving a double to left center field that was well-struck and held its line all the way to the wall. He added a liner up the middle for a single later on in the game.

Bronson Hickman (2024 SS, Chester, TX) got a hanger up in the zone early in the game and did not miss it, hammering a double off the wall in LCF. The body and bat speed both project huge, giving him excellent upside.

Brayden Hodge (2024 RHP, Katy, TX) pitched really well in his outing, working 82-85 mph with the fastball, pitching with pace and really hammering the zone. His curveball lands for strikes and gets a fair bit of S/M on his slider.

Rj Jackson (2023 1B, Choctaw, OK) is a physical presence in the box with huge impact potential. Certainly an enticing corner infield profile with power projecting very well at the plate.

Benjamin Elizondo (2023 SS, Sugar Land, TX) is intriguing overall; he displayed an easy hit tool and smooth right-handed swing. Showed a great feel for the middle infield as well with plenty of physical projection to add across his tools.

Eric Tenery (2023 LHP, Kerrville, TX) can get extended from the left side of the plate working pull side with impact today. Smooth swing and great feel for the barrel.

Jordan McCormick (2025 C, Sealy, TX) held an active day and showed off a strong motor. Quality versatility in the middle of the field showing an excellent idea behind the plate, middle infield and on the mound.
5-Columbia Blue vs. 8-Red Highlights >>

6/1/2022 3:32:58 PM

Zach White (2024 2B, Baytown, TX) got the scoring started early on, hammering an RBI double deep to RCF then coming around to score moments later. He followed that up with a liner single up the middle, and really impressed offensively in general.

Landon Kemp (2025 SS, Flowery Branch, GA) took a good BP yesterday and carried those swings into today, doubling down the line on the barrel in his first at-bat, picking up an RBI before stealing a base and scoring later on.

Caden Baker (2024 MIF, Houston, TX) took an aggressive hack in his first AB and burned the RF for a double that took a couple bounces up against the wall. He stole 3rd immediately. He ended up with 2 hits on the day and stood out for it.

Alex Grant (2024 OF, Spring, TX) has a long and projectable frame with a loose stroke, and in his first AB he drove a double up the opposite field gap. The body really projects for continued power gains and he picked up multiple hits on the day.

Hayden Arbour (2023 1B, Humble, TX) picked up a couple of knocks in this one, showing good barrel skills with strength in his hands and the ability to use the whole field.

Daniel Elizondo (2023 LHP, Seguin, TX) went 2-3 on the day with a couple of singles, including a solid barrel pull-side late in the game. His body projects for good lefthanded power.

7 - Purple vs. 8 - Red  >>

5/31/2022 11:35:33 PM

Chase Adams (2024, 1B, Richmond, TX) led the game off with a line drive to left field for a base hit and then proceeded to steal second with ease. Aggressive runner who stays on his feet and applies constant pressure on the pitcher.

Jackson Brasseux (2023, LHP, Paris, TX) came out blowing fastballs by everyone with late 2 seam run on it striking out all 6 batters he faced. His fastball sat between 90-94. Curveball was at 79. The Rice commit got really good extension down the mound with quick arm action and high ¾  slot. Very repeatable delivery. Potential 2-way talent as he laced a triple in the left field gap. The switch hitter roped another triple down the right field line, this time from the left side of the plate.

Carrson Canady (2023, RHP, Missouri City, TX) pitched well today going 2.2 innings while striking out 6. He displayed great 2-seam run on his fastball with a live arm. Plenty of room for him to grow in strength as well. Fastball sat at 77-84. Curveball played at 66-73.

Ashton Lassiter (2023, RHP, Bellaire, TX) threw well in his 2 innings of work with his fb averaging 85 mph and topping out at 87.

Bronson Hickman (2024, SS, Chester, TX) with another strong performance by pitching today. Tall and lengthy. Gets good extension down the mound. His fastball was averaging 83 while topping out at 87. He flashed a change at 80 with good spin on it as well as a curveball.

5-Columbia Blue vs 6-Orange Game Highlights >>

5/31/2022 11:11:49 PM

Adrien Alvarado (2023 OF, Dickinson, TX) put an aggressive approach on display to kick off the game, jumping on a FB early in the count to drive a single to LF. The strong framed 6’4” 195 lb righty excelled at getting the barrel out in front and created solid extension after contact. Athleticism is present with juice continuing to develop and become more dangerous.

Eric Tenery (2023 LHP, Kerrville, TX) showed off the sweet stroke at the dish with a single back up the middle in his first appearance, flashing a repeatable level bat path while not trying to do too much. From a strong 6’1” 195 lb build, Tenery is an important piece on both sides of the field and has natural athleticism and tools at his disposal. Was up to 85 mph on the bump and pounded the zone from the left side out of a 3/4 slot.

Andre Wood (2024 RHP, Leander, TX) muscled a double down the LF line during his first AB, displaying solid bat speed and strength in the hands. Wood is another name with clear lower half power and drive with good weight shift through contact. Important to note he’s also a presence behind the dish, gaining ground towards second with great arm strength to pair. If that wasn’t enough, he touched 88 mph on the bump with both a plus curve and change in the arsenal.

Thomas Moss (2024 C, Sugar Land, TX) put a mature disciplined AB together in his first appearance at the dish, working himself into a hitters count and then pounding a FB to deep LF for a double. The 5’9” 155 lb righty pulled the hands inside the baseball successfully and created easy carry and backspin.

Hunter Stockton (2024 OF, The Woodlands, TX) rocketed a ball back up the middle the first chance he got at the plate, showing off a sweet line drive stroke. The broad 6’0” 185 lb righty created good weight shift with the lower half and kept the barrel in the zone for an extended period of time.

Caden Baker (2024 MIF, Houston, TX) was a perfect 2-2 in his first two appearances on the offensive end, using all parts of the field to his advantage. Baker showed the ability to shoot line drives gap to gap, going oppo to LF in the 1st followed by a nice piece of pull side hitting in the 5th.

Dylan Rostron (2025 LHP, Cypress, TX) had the nastiest curveball of the day no debate, snapping off the breaker up to 2571 rpm with tons of bite and late movement. The projectable 6’1” 165 lb lefty still has plenty of time to develop velocity which currently sits in the upper 70’s, velocity that will only add to the danger Rostron possesses on the mound to pair with a curve that plays at any level.

Cooper McEnroe (2024 3B, Spring, TX) had one of the louder swings of the day, crushing a ball deep into the LCF gap for a double that set up his team to tie the game late. His body projects well and he has plenty of power upside in his frame.
