Roman Cariaga (2024 C, Ovilla, TX) had one of the most impressive rounds of BP on the day. He has a simple toe tap pre pitch trigger and has quick hands. Compact swing with barrel control and was spraying hard liners all over the field. He had a high exit velocity of 82 MPH.
Ethan McClain (2021 RHP, Roanoke, TX) showed off some easy juice from the right side of the plate. He uses his lower half well into the swing and found the barrel frequently. His power played well to all fields.
Freddie Nolen IV (2023 3B, Fort Worth, TX) had plenty of raw power in his swing during BP. Active hands pre-pitch with a bat waggle before dropping the hands through the slot. Showed off plenty of strength in his balanced swing and was driving balls well to all fields.
Jordan Allen (2023 3B, Longview, TX) has nice natural loft in the barrel and showed some good juice to pullside. He had some of the loudest BP contact of anyone and kept the ball in the air. The bat says on plane well and shows good hip rotation throughout the swing.
Dasan Harris (2023 OF, Parker, TX) has a smooth left-handed swing. Quick bat speed with natural extension and gets the bat head out well with a recoil finish. Shows especially nice power to pullside and his batted balls show good backspin.
Cole Carter (2022 RHP, Flower Mound, TX) has a big leg kick and an arm bar pre pitch to try to generate power and he does it well. Lots of strength in this swing and good feel for the barrel. Hit some towering drives to centerfield. Good leverage in the swing to drive balls.
Jarod Romero (2023 3B, Eagle Pass, TX) has a heavy barrel and a naturally fluid swing that stays on plane well. His exit velocity was up to 90 MPH and is built to hit line drives. Has some quick bat speed and should continue to add power as he fills out.
Trevor Tachibana (2022 OF, Southlake, TX) has a compact swing and showed a nice feel to use the whole field. His BP round had a lot of loud contact and has a heavy barrel. The swing stays on a level bat plane and was able to incorporate his lower half well into the swing.
