2022 Florida Top Prospect Games (09/10/2022 - 09/11/2022)

Orange vs Navy Game Highlights
9/11/2022 4:27:56 PM

Matt Altman (2026 RHP, Odessa, FL) lived in the low-80s with the fastball and showed three quality pitches for strikes. Altman showed advanced pitchability for a freshman with a breaking ball showing good shape and a nasty changeup.

Seth Bass (2023 LHP, Davie, FL) competed well on the bump and topped out at 80 mph during the outing. There's a full three pitch mix including a big 12/6 downer curveball and a changeup with similar arm speed.

Jace Kohler (2024 SS, Clearwater, FL) had a hard hit knock through the left side and was putting on a defensive clinic throughout. He's a surehanded infielder who has the arm strength to make plays from the hole.

Keeton Burroughs (2023 SS, Odessa, FL) was on base a number of times including a single and a walk. He's got good awareness and zone discipline

Atticus Huffstutler (2024 C, St Pete Beach, FL) showed solid catch-and-throw skills with accurate throws down to the bag. He threw a runner out in game and was solid defensively all day.

Chris Knier (2023 RHP, Jensen Beach, FL) was massively impressive, throwing three perfect innings and striking out the majority of batters faced. Knier worked up to 90 mph and sat in the upper-80s with cutting life at times and showed impressive feel to spin with both a curveball and slider for bat miss. He hosed a runner at third base from right field later in the game.

Mason Resmondo (2024 2B, Winter Haven, FL) had a couple of hard barreled up singles in game to the pull side. Resmondo did a nice job at getting extended and turning the barrel over for hard contact on a consistent basis.

Kolt Myers (2024 3B, St Augustine, FL) was very athletic in the infield, making a nice play in on the grass at third and a nice play to his left at short. He also pitched later in the game, working up to 91 with a high ceiling.

Chase Anello (2026 C, Wesley Chapel, FL) had a nice single back through the middle and just missed a long home run by a couple of feet. Anello controls the zone well and checks a lot of boxes for a freshman.

Michael Petite (2023 OF, Palm Bay, FL) worked 88-90 mph in relief. It's a big arm though he worked around some command inconsistencies and he also found a couple of barrels in game, including a deep oppo fly out and a triple late in the game.

Mike Martinez (2024 3B, Cutler Bay, FL) had a hard ground ball double down the pull side line. Martinez is strong and the ball comes off well and he also pitched well out of relief in the game.

Alejandro Arandia (2025 3B, Kissimmee, FL) used a nice move in the lower half to clear the back side and get the hands out. The fly ball carried nicely to the pull side and he hustled around for a standup double.

Hunter Rodgers (2026 C, Jacksonville, FL) had a pair of singles in this one, both over to the pull side. It's a short stroke with feel to move the barrel around and to make contact.

Blake Fields (2025 OF, Orlando, FL) has a quick arm from the right side and peaked at 85 mph. He's a good athlete overall with feel to spin a sweeping slider.
