4-Maroon vs. 5-Navy Game Highlights
8/13/2022 7:49:41 PM
Britton Baggarly (2025, Statesboro, Ga.) had himself a day smoking two balls to the left-field wall. He’s super physical and there’s real juice in this bat. Still young, he’s one to watch moving forward
Walker Roberts (2025, Greensboro. Ga.) looked solid per usual on the hill. Funky arm slot sitting 82-84 mph. Could locate to both sides with heavy run to the armside. He also showed feel to spin and manipulate a slurby breaker.
Diego Becerra (2026, Alpharetta, Ga.) opened eyes today in his outing. Very polished lefty sat 82-84 mph with ride at the top of the zone. He can win with just this pitch but also showed feel for a slurvy breaker with sharp tilt and a changeup with occasional run. A young lefty with present pitchability and projects extremely well moving forward.

Christopher Oates (2025, Buford, Ga.) had himself a day at the plate and looked the part in the field as well. The left-handed shortstop has a smooth stroke and showed the ability to go the other way and turn on it. He finished the day with a double and a triple, and made some nice plays at short.

Griffin Macallaster (2023, Cumming, Ga.) looked solid on the hill. Long-levered with easy effort projecting for lots more. Lived in the low-80’s (top 86 mph) with some occasional sink. The breaking ball (2300-2400) was inconsistent to start but showed some bite as his outing went on. Also showed a firm changeup that he had comfort in. The uncommitted senior can absolutely pitch at the next level.
Bryce Hamilton (2023, Marietta, Ga.) showed some serious bat speed and strength in today’s game. Went yard to the pullside; big power potential here.
Daniel Hollingsworth (2024, Atlanta, Ga.) showed a lot to like on the mound in a brief outing. Sat low-80’s in his first inning from a really tough, low slot. Also showed two plus breakers; flipped in a slurve (2300-2400rpm) and a nasty, sweepy slider (2500-2600rpm) Really uncomfortable AB against lefties.
