2-Navy Game Highlights

Michael Good (2024 SS, Parkville, MO) did a nice job of keeping his hands inside the baseball which resulted in a line drive double to left field today.  He would the come around to score.  Good stays on balance at the plate and does a nice job of taking what the pitcher gives him, hitting the ball where it's pitched.

Reid Jacob (2023 OF, Lucas, TX) has a consistent approach at the plate and it earned him a pair of base hits.  He is consistently on time and stays short to the ball.  He has good hand-eye coordination, consistently squaring the ball up.

Owen Laessig (2024 SS, Lincoln, NE) gets his barrel on plane and stays through the baseball nicely, resulting in a 2-for-3 day at the plate today.  He had a pair of singles and showed nice balance through his swing.  He also showed advanced actions on the infield, working smoothly fielding the ball and throwing it across the diamond.

Brooks Richardson (2023 C, Salina, KS) showed nice pull side power today, crushing a ball down the third base line that rolled out the fence, resulting in a triple.  He has good bat speed that results in easy power and looks to do damage on pitches that catch too much of the plate.

Ethan Bristol (2023 OF, South Lyon, MI) has good hands and nice barrel control which were evident on his ability to drive a high fastball for a long double to left center field.  He has quick hands through the zone which results in nice barrel speed and easy power.

Dylan Kaminski (2023 RHP, Chicago, IL) has a on balance delivery and sits into his back hip well before driving down the mound with his lower half.  He tallied five strikeouts during his three innings on the mound.  He ran his fastball up to 85 mph and paired the heater with a breaking ball that came in at 72 mph.

Max Huston (2025 SS, Topeka, KS) made the most of his one inning on the mound, striking out all three hitters.  His fastball showed tons of life through the zone, sitting 81-86 mph.  He generated plenty of swings and misses during his time on the mound with the offering, especially when he located it at the top of the zone.
