Griffin DeRusso (2023, C, Brentwood, CA) swing the bat well, ended the day 2-for-3 with a double and a triple. DeRusso has a short compact swing with good bat speed, saw the ball well and waited for a pitch he could drive.
David Groner (2023, Tustin, CA) was solid behind the dish, kept the ball in front and commanded his pitchers well. Also swung the bat well, ended the day 2-for-3 with 2 singles to the left side of the diamond.
Ashton Kanegae (2023, RHP, Tustin, CA) was electric on the mound, the fastball sat 84-86 mph with some arm side run. Kanegae pitched two solid innings, struck out 4 batters and only allowed two hits.
Nate Stern (2024, SS, Los Angeles, CA) was a vacuum at shortstop, showed the ability to make the routine plays. Worked through the ball with smooth hands and quick feet. Also swung the bat well, smoked a double to leftfield.
Max Senesac (2023, C, Costa Mesa, CA) displayed a violent compact swing wit good bat speed, smoked a triple over the center fielders head to score a run. Also was solid behind the plate, kept the ball in front and displayed a quick transfer.
Christian Bugarin (2023, OF, Fontana, CA) started the game off with a double to left center, consistently showed the ability to make loud contact middle in. Also made some great plays in the outfield, showed the ability to make the routine plays.
Jake Despain (2024, 3B, Hawthorne, CA) displayed a quick level swing that stays long through the zone, smoked a double to center field, ended the day 2-for-2
Cam Staton (2023, LHP, Auburn, CA) swung the bat well, ended the day 2-for-2 with a triple and a single to the right side of the diamond. Also got on the mound and threw 4 solid innings, striking out 9 batters.
Hunter Vigil (2024, SS, La Verne, CA) swung the bat well and was aggressive early, crushed a double in the right center gap. Has a short compact swing with good bat speed, showed the ability to hit the ball well to the opposite side of the field. Also made some nice plays in the middle infield.
