2021 National Underclass Showcase-Main Event (12/28/2021 - 12/30/2021)

2-Columbia Blue vs 4-Gray Highlights
12/29/2021 6:00:00 AM

Bobby Kleckner (2024 OF, Lansdale, PA) collected three very loud hits: with a pull-side linedrive single to right field and the other two being a triple in the left center gap and right center gap. Bobby displayed quick hands and a patient approach at the plate while maintaining barrel control to all fields.

JD Stein (2025 SS, Carmel, IN) spent time at his primary position of shortstop for Columbia Blue. He made a few remarkable plays in the 6-hole. JD made a play on a slow roller that showed his quick reaction and feet coupled with his soft hands on the exchange. He later made a play up the middle while ranging left. The defensive prowess of the young prospect surely didn't go unnoticed. JD also had a single and a run scored in the game.

No to be out-done by his teammate: John Phillip (JP) Abt (2025 SS, Brandon, MS) received some reps at his primary position of shortstop as well. JP made a play up the middle to his glove-side and showed off his range to make an excellent throw to first to get the out. JP also had two hits and two RBIs in the game.

Luis Sosa (2025 1B, Miami, FL) found a loud barrel to the left center gap. Sosa has a smooth left-handed stroke and showed excellent timing and awareness with his barrel zone.

Ethan Valdez (2025 OF, Boerne, TX) has a projectable build at his 6 foot, 175 frame. The primary outfielder collected three hits (all singles) while using an all field approach.

Jack Holley (2024 C, Spanish Fort, AL) kept the hit parade going with a loud triple to right center gap. Holley runs well with the sizable frame. Quick hands and has range behind the dish in and in the outfield.

Nathanael Coupet (2023 OF, Boynton Beach, FL) continued his impressive performance here at day 2 of Main Event. The athletic prospect had two hits, including a double off the centerfield wall of the stadium at Terry Park.

Jackson Uggla (2024 3B, Powder Springs, GA) contributed to the Grey team's offense in a big way with two hits and scoring twice as well.

Jaden Bahl (2023 OF, Round Rock, TX) finished the day with three hits, including a triple off the left field well. Showed consistency and pop in the box. Made adjustments at the plate throughout the game.

Kirk Kolano (2023 1B, San Antonio, FL) continued his two-day stretch with a triple pull-side to left field in his last at-bat of the game. Finished the day with  two RBIs.
