2021 Fall Atlantic Coast Showcase (10/30/2021 - 10/31/2021)

Batting Practice Highlights
10/30/2021 6:18:57 PM

Collin Snyder (2023 C, Spotsylvania, VA) is a big and strong right handed hitter with some serious bat speed.  He can simplify his swing approach but when the barrel is on time there is some serious jump and carry.

Brian O'Connell (2023 C, Greensboro, NC) had a plus round of barrels with line drive contact to all fields.  It's a simple upper body swing with limited lower half shift but O'Connell has strength in his hands and was very well timed.

Joey Chitla (2024 2B, Raleigh, NC) is another young right handed hitter who can get more lower half into his swing but who makes up for it with an accurate barrel and good hand quickness and strength.  He worked gap to gap with some jump.

Erik Anderson (2022 SS, Matthews, NC) is one of the best athletes at the event and has an athletic right handed swing with good bat speed.  He gets good hip action to drive his swing and is loose and fluid through the ball.

Billy Fluharty (2023 SS, Spotsylvania, VA) hits from a straight right handed stance with a clean and simple line drive swing.  He gets some hand action out front and showed he could turn the barrel with good bat speed and accuracy.

Aj Malzone (2023 C, Manteno, IL) has a strong, well conditioned 5-11/180 build and the bat speed to go with.  He got nice carry to the middle of the field and projects well to keep improving.

Sohrab Rezaei (2023 SS, Chicago, IL) has a quick twitch 5-8/155 build and a strong and short right handed swing.  He made consistent hard gap to gap line drive contact and even opened up his swing late for a ground rule double to left field.

Wyatt Stanley (2023 1B, Colfax, NC) is a big and strong left handed hitter with a consistent and well control power approach.  He drops the back shoulder and gets the ball in the air with big back spin and carry.

Mitch Jones (2023 SS, Greenville, NC) gets hard rotation in his right handed swing and creates lots of raw bat speed.  He's a Virginia Tech commit.

Tucker Love (2022 SS, Yorktown, VA) is a switch-hitter with an Old Dominion scholarship who shows next level ability from both sides of the plate.
