Preston Crowl (2023 3B, Wirtz, VA) showed his athleticism on the mound with good arm speed. Crowl filled up the strike zone with his FB up to 86 MPH giving up 0 hits over his 3 innings of work with 5 Ks. Crowl also recorded a hit in his 1st AB with hard single to CF.
Talor Grubbs (2022 MIF, Greensboro, NC) was efficient on the mound limiting the Columbia Blue team to 1 hit over 3 innings. He pounded the strike zone with his FB up to 85 MPH and showed athleticism throughout his delivery.
Trey Way (2022 C, Asheboro, NC) struck out the side in his one inning on the mound flashing some velocity as he ran his FB up to 87 MPH paired with a CB that had some depth.
Aidan Rice (2022 SS, Durham, NC) made some loud contact in his 2nd AB driving a ball to the LCF gap for a double.
Karson Knox (2023 C, Wake Forest, NC) filled up the strike zone and limited hard contact with an 81 MPH FB that had good cutting action. Knox allowed only 1 hit in his two innings of work.
