Jaxon Lucas (2023 SS, Raleigh, NC) started off the morning strongly both on the mound and at the plate. Lucas started with 2 very efficient innings of work with a quality 2 pitch mix. Allowed 0 hits and recorded 4 Ks using a FB up to 86 MPH along with a tight spinning curve with a lot of bite and depth. At the plate, he barreled up a ball and drove a double over the LF's head.
Jacob Budzik (2022 SS, Stallings, NC) also stood out both on the mound and at the plate. Budzik started off by showing some pop and speed around the bases legging out a triple in his 1st AB and followed it up with some more loud contact for a ground rule 2B in his last AB. On the mound, Budzik filled up the strike zone primarily working with his FB which was up to 84 MPH allowing 0 hits and recording 3 Ks.
Ryan Fluharty (2023 SS, Burton, WV) had 2 hits in the game including a triple which was driven well into the RCF game which showed strength present in his advanced physical frame.
Hunter Lohrli (2024 OF, Wilmington, NC) showed a good feel for the barrel with a contact approach and was able to reach base 2 out of his 3 ABs while making solid contact in each AB.
