Larson Scholtz (2022 RHP, Candler, NC) is a physical presence on the mound and threw well over his 3 innings of work allowing only two hits. Scholtz worked his FB 85-88 MPH with big sink and run at times.
Finley Spicer (2022 3B, Carthage, NC) was solid in all facets of the game using a contact approach to collect two hits and played a solid SS throughout the game.
Bailey Smith (2022 C, Thomasville, NC) drove a ball deep to the LCF gap exhibiting strength in his swing and good speed around the bases to leg out a triple
William Brooks (2023 C, Pembroke, NC) showed some pop in his bat driving a ball over the CF's head for a triple in his 2nd AB.
Thomas Barrett (2022 OF, Greenville, NC) collected two hits in the game showing an up the middle contact approach
Luke Holland (2022 OF, Cornelius, NC) finished out the game on a strong note first on the mound showing a good two pitch mix, running his FB up to 84 MPH with a quality slider, in an inning of work. Holland then showed strength and athleticism driving a triple deep to CF.
Jonathan J Velez Pagan (2021 C, Little River, SC) really showed well on the defensive side of the ball behind the plate and up the middle. Pagan also had two hits in the game showing a quality approach at the plate.
Clay Minor (2021 SS, Greensboro, NC) brought some excitement to the park with an inside the park showing pop in his barrel driving a ball to the RCF gap and showed his speed around the bases.
Liam Houghton (2022 1B, Sandy Spring, MD) showed a pull side approach, making solid contact to the left side in all his ABs with a 1B and 2B to show for it.
