Florida Prospect BP Highlights
8/10/2019 5:56:34 PM
Melvyn Alvarez (2021 OF, Guayama, PR) showed a simple stroke from the right side with loose and quick hands. He's balanced and controlled in the box while creating a good amount of line drive contact up the middle and to all fields with intent.

Max McCreary (2021 C, Denver, NC) works to the pull side of the field well with some barrel whip and gets his hands through nicely. He creates some leverage through contact with bat speed and significant juice to the pull side.

Harrison Povey (2021 RHP, Indian Rocks Beach, FL) is a long, lanky lefthanded hitter that creates a ton of leverage to the pull side due to his size. He whips the barrel with good hand quickness and impact strength through his wrists.

Sebastian Martinez (2020 C, Orlando, FL) showed some of the best bat speed of the day with a positive launch angle and lots of impact when squared. He's comfortable in the box with a professional approach and created a ton of well-struck balls to the pull side and middle of the field.

Nathaniel Martinez (2020 C, Orlando, FL) worked consistently to the pull side and swings hard with strength through contact. He gets his hips torqued well and fires on time to create backspin and carry to the pull side.

Jean Carlos Diaz (2020 C, San Juan, PR) has a strong approach from the right side with a number of well struck balls in the air to the pull side. The bat speed is good and he gets the barrel head out nicely while leveraging the stroke to pull.

Dillon Moquin (2023 OF, Coral Springs, FL) generates some explosiveness from the left side as the hands work very well through the stroke and allow him to get on plane on time. There is smoothness to the path and projects for big power at maturity as he develops.

Jason L'Etoile (2021 1B, Lake Worth, FL) is a big, physical lefthanded hitter with good bat speed, strength, and impact at contact. He gets extended well through contact with a flatter bat path and really drives the ball well to the pull side.

Zach Lester (2023 SS, Valrico, FL) has a clean swing path that projects nicely as he continues to mature and fill out. He gets the barrel out nicely and worked on a line to all fields with consistency and a clean line drive approach.

Keahi Louderback (2022 3B, Clermont, FL) turns the barrel over nicely with some controlled violence and barrel whip throughout the stroke. He gets extended with loose hands and projects for more power as he continues to fill out.

Airon Reyes (2021 3B, Port St Lucie, FL) swings with intent and creates a good amount of whippy bat speed and violence throughout. There's good impact with feel for the pull side and hit some long shots to the deepest parts of the ballpark, and out of it, during his round.

JP Herrholz (2020 1B, Miami, FL) turns into contact well with some strength to the pull side. He creates good impact to the pull side and turned in a fairly consistent round with a good amount of peppered line drives to the pull side.

Matt Leary (2020 OF, Eustis, FL) showed really quick hands throughout swing and generated some whippiness to the overall stroke. The round showed some inconsistencies but there's good strength to pull with looseness throughout and really projects nicely.

Duval Rodriguez (2020 MIF, Miami, FL) showed fluidity to his swing path with quick hands and whippiness throughout. The swing projects nicely and he peppered the middle of the field and pull side of the field with well-struck line drives throughout the round.

Chris Duprey (2022 OF, Wellington, FL) creates some violence in is swing with a flatter barrel path while turning on the ball well. There's projection throughout the swing with some young bat speed and good comfort in the batter's box.

Carlos Herrera (2020 MIF, Miami, FL) is a stronger prospect with good bat speed and creates some backspin off contact. Herrera gets his hips moving through contact and creates impact when squared.

Juan Jesus Leandro (2022 SS, Coral Gables, FL) has a smooth barrel path with a compact and quick stroke while turning the barrel over nicely through extension. He works to the pull side and middle of field with looseness to his hands and further power to be unlocked.

Edwin Joel Ortiz (2021 2B, Guayama, PR) rocks into his swing with a shorter swing path that shows some strength at the point of extension. Ortiz shows a line drive swing plane with some strength to the pull side and turned in a fairly consistent round.

Santiago Carriles-Alvarado (2023 C, Miami, FL) swings the barrel hard and shows good quickness to his hands with a projectable swing plane. He maintains the barrel consistently with some feel for driving with the lower half and working toward the middle of the field.

Fernando Hernandez (2022 C, Orlando, FL) torques his hips nicely through contact to create some drive and jump to the middle of the field. The swing plane is clean with some lift and he does a nice job at getting the barrel out in front with strength in his wrists.

Alexander Manent (2021 SS, Orlando, FL) shows good present bat speed with a balanced stance and a simple trigger into the stroke. There's good launch in his hands with strong wrists and some tools to project upon moving forward.

Ben Maskin (2020 1B, Tampa, FL) is a big, physical righthanded hitter who creates natural leverage through extension out in front. There's potential for big power as he launched a home run to the pull side and has the bat speed and strength to project for power.
