12/30/2018 11:13:06 AM

AJ Ewing (2023 3B, Dayton, OH) impressed with the bat, showing some of the quickest hands in the game and solid upside from the left side of the plate with hard line drive contact which resulted in a couple of hard hit singles as well as a double.

Cristian Ruiz (2023 SS, Oak Lawn, IL) made a nice defensive play at shortstop, not only to rob a hit that was well struck off the barrel, but to start a double play after a nice diving stab.

James Benjamin (2023 1B, Katy, TX) collected two singles to the pull side in his first two at-bats, adding to the Columbia Blue’s run department with an RBI his first at-bat.

Kenan Bowman (2023 2B, Charlotte, NC) had a nice day offensively as he picked up a couple of well struck doubles to his pull side gap, shows some leverage to his swing and quickness to his hands while showing well  defensively as well.

Though he’s listed as a primary pitcher, Jonathan Deng (2023 RHP, Boca Raton, FL) picked up three singles in his first few at-bats working all around the yard and also made a sliding catch out in right field.

Kaden Baker (2023 C, Clanton, AL) connected for some of the loudest contact in the game as well, scorching a couple of line drives to his pull side, including a hard double to the left-center field gap as part of a multi-hit game.

Ethan Humphreys (2023 RHP, Odessa, FL), another primary pitcher, swung the bat well for the Red team with five singles on the day, working the ball to all parts of the field. Both Owen Imel (2023 LHP, Lapel, IN) and Devin Dizon (2023 OF, Orange Park, FL) also had multi-hit games with Imel finishing with five singels while Dizon added another four.

Edward Phelps III (2022 3B, Lithonia, GA) and Eduardo Fernandez (2023 RHP, Miami, FL) both showed off their strength with extra base hits as Phelps III drove a loud double to his pull side and Fernandez crushed a triple deep to his pull side.
