Drew Feldman (2015, RHP/OF, Floyd Kellam HS, VA) tossed four innings displaying his ability to command his pitches as well as both sides of the plate. Feldman showed a knack for knowing how to pitch and got good extension out front, which translated to keeping the ball down in the zone. Feldman sat 77-79 MPH and hit 80 MPH with a CB at 68 MPH.
Justin Vaclavicek (2015, OF/RHP, Kettle Run HS, VA) filled up the zone during his inning of work. Vaclavicek struck out two using his FB that was 78-80 MPH and a straight CH at 71 MPH.
Zakiel Morla (2015, OF/UT/IF, Zebulon B Vance HS, NC) went 2-2 with two singles and a run scored. Morla was patient at the plate and once on base showed very good instincts and aggressiveness.
Alec DuBreuil (2015, OF/RHP/C, Brevard HS, NC) went 2-2 with an RBI double down the LF line. DuBreuil showed quick hands and good bat speed on both his hits.
Kevin Granger (2015, OF/3B, Monacan HS, VA) hit a line drive double to LF. Granger is looking to pull the ball starting in a slightly open stance with his hands set low before triggering his swing with his left leg.
Hunter Gusler (2015, C, Bartlett Yancey HS, NC) connected for a deep double to LF in the game. Gusler is a big, strong player that shows good pop when hitting.
