NHSI proved to be all about matchups in 2013. And, we’re talking about the matchups beyond the ones between powerhouse high school programs. Matchups between players like Austin Meadows and Stephen Gonsalves are priceless for scouts, and that’s what the tournament brought to the table last week. Some players saw their stock soar, while others put themselves on the radar for the first time. Other players had questions raised about their games that they’ll need to answer over the remainder of the spring.

Jordan Sheffield did not pitch at NHSI, and as a result cannot be fairly ranked. Clearly, if he had pitched he’d be in the hunt for the top spot on this list, in all likelihood.
