Fort Myers Rotation

Perfect Game Staff

eastcoastgrays.org  The Grays have helped over 100 players in the last 3 seasons to play collegiate baseball, and 65 of them have been Division I.

Jacob Shempert: (2012) 85-87 touches 88-89.  He will be our starter game one Friday at 4:30 at Red Sox complex.  Swings the bat very well.  Left side and strokes.

Jacob had a strong outing tonight as he struck out 5 in 3 innings.  Topped out at 87.  The Grays won 4-1 with Ridge Smith, Mikel Belcher, Lawson Vassar, and Angus Anderson (2 RBI's).  Riley Kilgore threw out 4 runners in 3 innings behind the plate.

Our original schedule had us playing at the Red Sox complex, so we were going to start Jacob in front of as many scouts as possible because he is a can't miss guy.  I hope you will make the late night effort to come watch him pitch.

Mikel Belcher: (2011)- 6'4 pitcher and OF.  85-87 off the bump, but has great potential with the bat; good pop.  HE will pitch game one Sat at 2:0 at 4:30 at Twins complex.  Mikel has loads ofmpoptential, and he is alsogetting looks from SEC and ACC school already.

Taylor Wallace: (2012) 86-89.  Touches 90.  He will start game two on Saturday at 4:30 at Twins complex.  PG has ranked him #33 for the 2012 class, and he is very excited because 33 was the age that Jesus went to the cross and died for our sins.  He is going to be a high level division I player.

Other notable 2011 and 2012:

Angus Anderson (2012)  Angus is a very versitle player that can play infield and outfield, and he also pitcher in the mid 80s.

Taylor Nichols(2011)- solid catcher behind the plate.  Plus blocker and receiver.  Throws at 1.96-2.10.

Michael Sillyman (2012)- 6'5 1B that hits from the left side and has tremendous pop.

Bennette Hill (2012)- 2B/SS that is Mr. Consistent in the field and at the dish.  Leader, table setter, and very versitle.

Taylor Moore (2012)- three pitchers for a strike.  CB is best pitch.  Gamer.

Tanner Black (2012)- solid defensive SS that runs well.  Has 2B power and will be a solid top of order hitter at next level.
