Two first inning runs proved to be all that the Canes North 16s needed as Dillon Maples threw a complete game no hit shutout against the Florida Mustangs in this afternoons championship game. Maples fanned 10 batters in his seven innings of work and allowed only five base runners with three walks and two hit batters. Luke Dunlap provided the power for the Canes with a first inning two run home run which sparked a Canes offense that would go on to score six runs today. The final score of the complete seven inning championship game was 6-0 in favor of the Canes.
