COLLEGE STATION, TEXAS- Perfect Game Softball was excited to return to College Station for the second annual Aggieland Showcase last weekend.. Some great competition was seen over the three age groups. We had two scouts on site to evaluate and highlight some of the athletes who caught their eyes. Thank you to all teams and players who competed so hard! Below we highlight those athletes who impressed our scouts.
18U Division
Elizabeth Posada- Elizabeth Posada is a 2028 two-way player from Houston, Texas, competing for Aztecs Premier who brings an intriguing combination of offensive upside and athletic versatility. At the plate, Posada recently went 4-for-8 on the weekend, continuing to show consistency and offensive awareness. She sets up with a slightly open, wide stance and does a strong job of getting into her legs to generate power through her swing. Her quick, efficient hands allow her to get the barrel to the ball in a short amount of time, making her especially dangerous when she is on time. Pitchers would be wise to avoid extended time working the outer half of the plate, as she shows the ability to handle that zone effectively and drive the ball. Once she reaches base, Posada becomes an active threat. She shows good instincts in recognizing opportunities to take the next 60 feet and consistently looks to put pressure on the defense to advance her team into scoring position.With continued development in barrel control and focused work on top-hand strength and stability, Posada has the tools to evolve into a legitimate offensive threat at the next level while continuing to impact games as a dynamic two-way player.
Katie Traugott- Katie Traugott is a 2028 left-handed throwing, right-handed hitting leadoff hitter from Bacliff, Texas, who sets the tone for Hustle National 18u-Carpenter with her speed, discipline, and competitive approach at the top of the lineup. Offensively, Traugott does exactly what a leadoff hitter is expected to do—she works deep counts, shows patience, and consistently challenges opposing pitchers from her very first at-bat. She utilizes a controlled approach with the ability to stay in the 3/4 hole and on the baseball for an extended time, allowing her to spray contact and create pressure on the defense. Despite her smaller frame, she plays with noticeable athleticism and quickness that translates into constant disruption on the bases. Once she reaches safely, Traugott immediately becomes a threat to score. Her speed and instincts allow her to turn routine situations into advanced bases, and she consistently looks to take extra 60 feet whenever possible. She is a true spark plug at the top of the order, capable of shifting momentum with her energy and aggressive baserunning. Defensively, Traugott adds value with her versatility. Although she throws left-handed, she shows the ability to handle middle infield duties, demonstrating solid athleticism, range, and adaptability across the field. Her skill set and baseball IQ allow her to stay competitive regardless of position. With her combination of speed, on-base ability, versatility, and high-energy style of play, Katie Traugott is a dynamic table-setter who impacts the game in multiple ways for her team.
Meghan Fields- Meghan Fields is a 2028 right-handed pitcher and hitter from Kingwood, Texas, who competes for Aztecs Premier and makes a significant impact on both sides of the game. Her recent performance highlights her production and consistency at a high level, hitting .700 with 7 runs scored, 4 RBI, and 2 doubles, while also delivering strong results in the circle. In the circle, Fields posted a 4.45 ERA across 11 innings pitched with 14 strikeouts and only 3 walks, showing a solid ability to miss bats while limiting free passes. She is a competitive pitcher who prioritizes getting ahead early, consistently working for first-pitch strikes to establish control of at-bats. Fields does a good job of disrupting timing by mixing speeds effectively in different counts, keeping hitters off balance and uncomfortable throughout her outings.Offensively, she continues to prove she is a legitimate force in the lineup. Fields maintains strong hand control and does an excellent job staying inside the ball, which allows her to drive pitches with consistency. She shows particularly strong opposite-field power, using the entire field to create offensive production and extend innings for her team.With her two-way ability, disciplined approach in the circle, and advanced offensive production, Meghan Fields stands out as a true impact player for Aztecs Premier and a key contributor on both sides of the game.
Adalyn Shelton- Adalyn Shelton is a 2028 powerful offensive threat and a standout presence behind the plate from Gatesville, TX and plays for Texas Swarm Gold Davis. At the plate, she possesses legitimate home run power and consistently creates hard contact with a strong, fundamentally sound swing. She does an excellent job staying through her lower half, delivering a square barrel at contact, and working from the inside of the ball. Her ability to stay through the zone gives her power to all fields, with impressive potential to drive the ball with authority to the opposite field. Defensively, Shelton is a reliable leader behind the plate. She receives pitches well, presents a quiet target, and does an excellent job managing the game from the catcher position. Her toughness, communication skills, and ability to block balls in the dirt help keep runners in check and give confidence to her pitching staff. Combined with her strong softball IQ and leadership qualities, she is the type of catcher who impacts the game on every pitch. With her combination of offensive power, defensive reliability, and leadership behind the plate, Shelton is a high-upside prospect capable of making an impact at the next level.
Mary Ward- Mary Ward is a 2028 from Kingwood, TX and standout third baseman for Texas Glory 18U whose toughness, athleticism, and competitive nature make her a player that immediately stands out to college coaches. Defensively, Ward is a game-changer at the hot corner. She plays with a fearless mentality, consistently putting her body on the line to make difficult plays. Her exceptional range, reliable glove, and strong instincts allow her to take away hits and provide pitchers with confidence every time the ball is put in play.At the plate, Ward brings an athletic, powerful swing and a confident approach. She generates excellent bat speed while staying balanced through contact, allowing her to drive the ball with authority to all fields. Her ability to consistently produce quality at-bats makes her a tough out and a constant offensive threat.Ward showcased those offensive tools during Game 1 of the Stars Over Texas Showcase in Aggieland, where she hit .667 and consistently squared up the softball. Her performance highlighted both her offensive strength and her ability to perform on a big stage.With her combination of defensive excellence, offensive production, and relentless competitiveness, Mary is the type of player who can impact a game in multiple ways and has all the tools to succeed at the next level.
Allie Minick- Allie Minick is a 2027 two-way standout from Houston, Texas and the Texas Glory who brings a rare combination of athleticism, length, and strength to both the circle and the batter’s box. With long limbs, strong legs, and a naturally athletic build, she consistently presents matchup problems for opponents on both sides of the game. At the plate, Minick shows a controlled and powerful offensive approach. She works from a wide, balanced stance that allows her to generate maximum force while staying stable through contact. Her quiet load helps her stay on time, and she maintains a strong L-slot that keeps her inside the baseball. This allows her to handle pitches on the inner half effectively while also driving the ball with authority. Throughout tournament play, she recorded multiple multi-hit performances, showing her ability to consistently square up pitches and produce offensively. In the circle, Minick was dominant and highly effective. She posted a tournament-leading 17 strikeouts, using her power and movement to keep hitters uncomfortable throughout her outings. She generates sharp break toward the outer half of the plate, which produced frequent swings and misses against opposing hitters. By mixing speeds and working all areas of the strike zone, she keeps batters off balance and limits their ability to time her effectively. With her combination of athleticism, power pitching, and offensive consistency, Allie Minick continues to establish herself as a high-upside two-way player in the 2027 class.
Makenzie Gee- Makenzie Gee is a 2027, from Magnolia, TX who plays for the Cy Fair Sting 18U. She is a talented, multi-position athlete with the strength, athleticism, and coachability that project well to the next level. Her ability to impact the game as both a pitcher and position player makes her a valuable prospect with significant upside. In the circle, Gee attacks hitters with a diverse five-pitch arsenal, highlighted by a solid fastball, effective change-up, and confident curveball that she uses as a strikeout pitch. She competes with confidence and continues to show the potential for increased movement and consistency as she develops.Defensively, Gee provides versatility at pitcher, first base, and third base. She displays good arm strength, reliable accuracy, and strong instincts, allowing her to contribute in multiple roles while remaining engaged and dependable on every play. Offensively, Gee is a physical right-handed hitter with the ability to generate power through the zone. She swings with intent and has the strength to drive the ball with authority, giving her considerable offensive potential as her approach continues to mature. Talynn Jackson- Talynn Jackson is a 2029 catcher from College Station, Texas, who competes for 16U AF Brazos Valley Gold and brings a strong defensive presence along with developing offensive power. Behind the plate, Jackson is a reliable and physical defender who plays like a brick wall on balls in the dirt. She does an excellent job keeping everything in front of her, absorbing low pitches and quickly getting the ball under control to limit advancement and create throwing opportunities. With her chin down and head steady, she maintains focus while still staying alert to control the running game and guide her defense. Her leadership stands out, as she helps set the tone for her pitching staff and builds a strong, dependable battery relationship with her pitchers. Offensively, Jackson shows a composed and powerful approach. She stays active through her lower half while keeping her hands quiet, allowing her to track pitches with a still head and consistent timing. This approach gives her the ability to generate real power, especially to her pull side, where she can do damage when she gets extended. She continues to show improving bat-to-ball skills and the potential for impact power as she develops. Pitchers do need to be careful working the outer half, where continued adjustments will help round out her offensive profile.With her defensive toughness, leadership behind the plate, and emerging offensive strength, Talynn Jackson profiles as a promising young catcher in the 2029 class.
Krystal Quiroga- Krystal Quiroga is a 2027 from Spring, TX who competes for Texas Glory 18U. She is a hard-nosed competitor whose consistency and work ethic stand out every time she takes the field. At the plate, she utilizes a controlled toe-tap load with quiet hands that allow her to stay on time and see the ball exceptionally well. She tracks pitches deep, taking them all the way to the catcher's glove, and competes through every pitch without taking a single at-bat off. Quiroga does an outstanding job attacking pitches on the inner half, showing quick hands and the ability to generate hard contact. As she continues to let the ball travel a bit deeper into the zone, her offensive production and ability to use the entire field will continue to grow. Behind the plate, Quiroga provides a steady and reliable presence. She receives pitches well, works hard to keep balls in front of her, and demonstrates strong communication with her pitching staff. Her toughness and willingness to handle the demands of the position make her a catcher that pitchers enjoy throwing to. She shows good awareness, leadership qualities, and a strong understanding of the game, helping control the pace and flow from behind the dish. With her competitive mindset, offensive consistency, and dependable defensive skill set, Quiroga is a valuable asset who brings leadership and energy to every game.
Abigail Lopez: Abby Lopez is a versatile 2028 athlete from Caldwell, Texas, who competes for American Freedom Brazos Valley Gold. Offensively, she stands out for her exceptional barrel control and ability to consistently square up the softball. She maintains balance throughout her swing, makes quality adjustments to different pitch locations, and routinely produces hard contact. Defensively, Abby provides value at multiple positions. Behind the plate, she demonstrates solid receiving skills, works well with her pitching staff, and brings a steady presence to the defense. At second base, she shows reliable hands, good footwork, and strong awareness of the game. In right field, she tracks the ball well, takes efficient routes, and can be counted on to make routine and difficult plays alike. Her versatility, softball IQ, and dependable play make her a valuable contributor in all phases of the game.
16U Division
Haylee Rivas- Haylee Rivas is a 2030 right handed pitcher and hitter from Kingsville, TX who plays for the South Texas Prospects 16u Gold. Rivas, a middle of the lineup hitter, steps into the right handed batters box with a strong stick. With her athletic build and her confidence in the box she is able to drive in runs consistently for her team. Haylee got a hit every time she stepped in the box, posting a 1.000 batting average for the weekend. Not only is she a threat in the batters box, but she asserts dominance on the mound. When she is not on the mound she is typically in the infield, where she can play almost anywhere. With a little more control and body awareness as her career goes on she will be a solid two-way player in the future.
Londyn Presley- Londyn Presley is an athletic 2028 outfielder from Katy, TX who plays for Hustle STX-Aguado. She is the leader of the outfield standing out in centerfield. Presley acts as a vacuum in the grass covering both left-center and right-center with ease with her speed. On the other side of the ball, Londyn, a right handed hitter, has loads of power lower in the zone. She is good about keeping her hands inside the ball to throw her barrel so she challenges the defense up the middle. Presley is no stranger to getting on base posting a solid .500 on-base percentage and once on base, she uses her good heads up base running to push runs across the board for her team.
Rylee Larsen- Rylee Larsen is a 2029 from Cordell, OK and right-handed pitcher who plays for Canes Great Plains National. Larsen thrives off her riseball in the circle and consistently generates late barrels and weak contact by attacking hitters early in the count. She works aggressively in the strike zone, getting ahead and putting pressure on opposing lineups from the first pitch. Unafraid to challenge hitters on the inner half, she keeps batters uncomfortable and prevents them from extending through the ball. What sets her apart is her confidence in throwing offspeed pitches in advantage counts, using them effectively to disrupt timing and generate early swings and misses. Her ability to mix speeds while maintaining an attacking mindset makes her a difficult matchup and a constant strikeout threat. She posted a 8.4 ERA with 7 strikeouts in 6.2 innings.
Makenzie Thompson- Makenzie Thompson is a 2028 right handed catcher from Canute, OK who plays for Canes Great Plains National out of Oklahoma. Mackenzie is in serious control when she steps into the batters box. She is neutral in her legs and very relaxed in her pre-pitch stance. With her strong build and fast hands, she has all the power in the world to put the ball out of the park. Thompson never takes a pitch off, staying active in every take whether she is swinging or not. The solid three hole hitter for the Canes blasted 1 home run, 4 doubles, and a team leading 8 RBIs in College Station. She was a spark for the Canes offense. Only a 2028 with room to grow, college coaches should be on the lookout for this hard hitting catcher.
Tatum Gillett- Tatum Gillett, a 2029 RHP from Canute, OK of the Canes Great Plains National was an effective presence in the circle, posting a 2.33 ERA with 11 strikeouts across 12 innings pitched. She attacks hitters with confidence, consistently working the inner half of the plate and forcing uncomfortable at-bats. Her bread and butter is a pitch located at the knees, where she generates weak contact and keeps hitters from getting extended. She also has the ability to elevate effectively, producing swings and misses at the top of the zone when ahead in counts. Mechanically, Gillett does an excellent job driving toward home plate, utilizing strong, powerful legs to create momentum and maintain her velocity throughout her outing. Her aggressive approach, command of the strike zone, and ability to change eye levels make her a tough matchup for opposing lineups.
Maci Watson- Maci Watson is a 2028 two way player from Fulshear, TX who competes for Hustle STX-Aguado. Watson, a right-handed hitter with legitimate home run power combines strength and bat speed with a smooth, controlled approach at the plate. Her relaxed pre-pitch setup and quiet load allow her to stay balanced and on time, creating a direct path to the ball. She generates excellent barrel whip through the zone, producing consistent hard contact while maintaining the ability to drive the ball to all fields. Rather than selling out for power, she lets her natural strength work, making her a dangerous hitter capable of leaving the yard while also spraying line drives gap-to-gap. Watson posted an outstanding .500 batting average through 10 at bats. Her combination of power, plate coverage, and all-field approach makes her a tough out and a constant offensive threat.
Tess Kenny- Tess Kenny, a 2030 graduate from Katy, Texas, is a versatile two-way player for Hustle STX-Aguado who contributes both in the circle and at the plate while also providing defensive value at third base and first base. As a pitcher, Kenny posted a 2.80 ERA with 3 strikeouts over 5 innings of work. She begins her delivery low in her legs, allowing for maximum drive off the rubber and creating strong momentum toward home plate. Her arm speed remains consistent across all pitches, helping disguise her repertoire and keep hitters off balance. When ahead in the count, she shows confidence in her offspeed pitches and actively looks to finish at-bats with strikeouts. Offensively, Kenny hits from a slightly open stance with a subtle toe-tap load that keeps her rhythm smooth and controlled. She does an excellent job driving through her back leg, generating power through the baseball while maintaining balance throughout her swing. Her combination of athleticism, versatility, and developing skill set makes her a player to watch in the 2030 class.
14U Division
Jaelyn Ramos- Jaelyn Ramos is a 2030 right-handed pitcher and hitter from Richmond, Texas and competes for the Texas Threat. She brings confidence, composure, and competitiveness to the field. In the circle, she features a deceptive off-speed pitch that keeps hitters off balance and is a weapon she is willing to throw in any count. Her confidence in her off-speed arsenal allows her to generate swings and misses while keeping opposing hitters guessing throughout the game.One of Jaelyn's strengths is her mental toughness. She possesses a strong short-term memory, allowing her to quickly move on from adversity and stay locked into the next pitch. Whether she gives up a hit or faces a challenging situation, she consistently responds with poise and focus.Offensively, Jaelyn is equally impactful. She does an excellent job tracking pitches, keeping her head still and maintaining a disciplined approach at the plate. She is aggressive on pitches she can handle and is not afraid to attack the first good pitch she sees. Every time she steps into the batter's box, she challenges the pitcher and looks to make something happen, making her a threat on both sides of the ball.
Raegyn King- Raegyn King is a strong right-handed hitting 2030 catcher from Lufkin, Texas who plays for the Texas Threat. She has the ability to change a game every time she steps into the batter’s box. King recently showcased her offensive potential by blasting back-to-back doubles in a game, proving she can drive the ball with authority and produce extra-base hits consistently. At the plate, she utilizes a slightly open stance and demonstrates a strong contact point on pitches on the outer half of the plate. Her lower-half strength generates impressive power, allowing her to drive balls deep into the gaps and off the fence with ease. What makes King especially dangerous is her ability to spray the ball to all fields, making her a difficult hitter to defend and a constant threat offensively. Her combination of power, versatility, athleticism, and defensive skill makes her a player who should quickly find herself on recruiting radars.
Hannah Forman- Hannah Forman is a 2029 right-handed pitcher and right-handed hitter from Spring, TX who competes for Sudden Impact-Forman. Standing tall with an athletic frame, Forman does an excellent job using her height to create advantages on both sides of the ball. Offensively, she starts with a tall, balanced setup in the back of the batter’s box from a neutral, square stance. As the pitch approaches, she sinks into her legs and utilizes a short, efficient stride that allows her to stay balanced while generating gap-to-gap power. Forman consistently demonstrates the ability to come through in key situations, making her a clutch performer for her team. In addition to her ability at the plate, she shows strong instincts on the bases and understands when to be aggressive in taking the extra base. Inside the circle, Forman is an impressive young arm with a strong lower-half foundation. She gets out of the circle well and effectively uses her legs to generate power and velocity, allowing her to challenge hitters and keep them on the defensive. Her athleticism, physical presence, and developing skill set make her a player with significant upside as she continues to mature. With her combination of offensive production, pitching ability, and natural athleticism, Hannah Forman is a 2029 prospect worth following as she continues her development.
Addison Joi Giddens- Addison Joi Giddens is a 2030 left-handed hitter and fielder from Spring, TX who plays for Sudden Impact Forman. She is already establishing herself as a dangerous offensive presence at a young age. With good size and natural strength, Giddens possesses legitimate home run power and consistently impacts the game every time she steps into the batter’s box. At the plate, she showcases excellent timing and an advanced approach for her age. One of her most impressive traits is her ability to drive the ball to the opposite field with authority, allowing her to use the entire field and keep defenses honest. Giddens has the power to produce extra-base hits in bunches, recently collecting multiple extra-base hits in a single game. She posted a solid .500 batting average for her team. Once on base, she moves well and creates additional pressure on opposing defenses with her aggressive baserunning instincts. Giddens serves as a spark plug for her team, bringing energy and production whenever her number is called. With her combination of power, offensive production, defensive reliability, and overall presence on the field, Addison Joi Giddens is a young prospect whose future is extremely bright.
Kayla Csepke- Kayla Csepke is a 2031 catcher from Cypress, Texas who plays for American Freedom- 14U HTX-Academy-Carlson. She is an athlete who brings toughness and developing strength to both sides of the game. Behind the plate, she has established herself as a hard-hitting catcher with a strong defensive presence and a growing feel for handling a pitching staff. Defensively, Csepke utilizes a one-knee-down catching style that allows her to present and receive low strikes effectively, giving her pitchers a consistent and reliable target. She shows confidence working from her knees and uses a strong, controlled lower-body drive when throwing to bases, helping reduce strain on her arm while still generating solid carry on her throws. Her pitchers can trust her behind the plate to secure pitches and manage the game with composure. At the plate, Csepke is a difficult out who consistently battles through at-bats. She shows a competitive approach and a willingness to fight off pitches until she finds one she can handle, demonstrating solid barrel control and an improving offensive feel. Much like her defensive game, she generates power through strong lower-half usage, which contributes to her overall offensive potential. As she continues to mature physically and develops greater strength and body awareness through training, Csepke has the tools to grow into an even more impactful player and a valuable asset for her team moving forward.
