SPRINGFIELD, IL - Perfect Game Softball Route 66 Summer Showcase, June 13-14, 2026. Twenty-Seven teams, representing the 14u and High School Divisions, arrived at the newly opened all turfed Scheels Sports Park at Legacy Pointe, for the opportunity to showcase their talent in a five game guarantee format. As with anytime we bring a group of players together for competition, there will be those players that rise to the challenge and turn in performances that earn them a place on our Top Performers list. Below are some of the players, from both divisions, that were recognized as top performers.
14U Division
Kinley Abrams (2030 Bloomington, IL) is a RHH for Texas Glory IL-2030 (Wyatt). Setting up in a slightly wide parallel stance, into her back leg, Abrams gains separation with a push back to transfer weight, and then utilizes a small stride to launch her swing. Abrams works a line drive approach that gets the ball in the air, with a majority of her success being on the pull-side. For the weekend, Abrams picked up six hits that included three doubles and a home run, drew three walks,and struck out three times. She scored four runs and knocked in a showcase leading 11 rbi’s, finishing with a .667 batting average and .786 OBP, showing the ability to hit for power and average.
Lillian Pabst (2030 Danville, IL) is another quality RHH playing for Texas Glory IL-2030 (Wyatt). Pabst loads into the box with a slightly closed stance, sitting into her legs and hinged at the waist with very little movement. Pabst, who shows patience at the plate, worked her hands inside the ball and utilized the whole field, collecting six hits with a double and a home run. She scored nine runs, picked up five rbi’s and worked pitchers for four free passes, to close out the weekend with a .667 batting average and .714 OBP. Another player with some pop in her bat, hitting for average.
Paige Winship (2029 Bethalto, IL), a RHH utility player for Illinois Gators, utilizes an open stance, with a toe touch that transfers weight and allows her to get back to parallel for her stride. Working almost exclusively to her pull-side, Winship picked up five hits that included a double and home run. She scored eight runs, knocked in six, drew three base on balls and struck out two times, ending the showcase hitting at a .455 clip with a .571 OBP.
Lily Trompeter (2030 Catlin, IL) is the third RHH hitter that played a part offensively in Texas Glory IL-2030 (Wyatt) going undefeated over the weekend. Trompeter, setting up in a parallel stance, slightly into her legs, leans into the back hip for weight transfer and to gain separation. Trompeter worked the ball gap to gap, showing solid use of her lower half, hitting from a firm front side in collecting four hits that included four doubles. She knocked in four, drew two walks and did not record a strikeout. Putting the ball in play, she was able to work her way onto base to score 11 times, while finishing with a .444 batting average.
Kinley Paradee (2029 Mount Zion, IL) is an athletic SS for Hitting Center Legacy, who goes to work from the left side of the plate. Paradee utilizes a slight coil to transfer weight to her back side and gain separation. Keeping her front side closed, Paradee appears at her best when working the ball the opposite way, while displaying some power to drive the ball out of the yard. On the weekend, Paradee collected seven hits with a double and home run, while scoring seven times. She knocked in five, struck out twice and managed to finish off the weekend with an outstanding .700 batting average.
Rya Hakes (2030 Normal, IL) is a RHP for Texas Glory IL-2030 (Wyatt). Hakes, not big in stature, gets the most out of her small frame through solid mechanics while utilizing an effective leap in the drive phase, to aid her in topping out at 62 mph. Working with a five pitch mix of fastball, change-up, rise, drop and curve, Hakes changed speeds and levels to keep hitters off balanced and disrupt their timing. In her nine innings of work, Hakes struck out 17, gave up five hits and two walks, without allowing an earned run, to finish with a 0.00 ERA and 0.78 WHIP. This young lady will be one to follow over the next few years.
Emmerson Womble (2029 Auburn, IL) was the work horse in the circle for her Hitting Center Legacy team over the weekend. Womble, showing a lively arm, worked 13.2 innings and struck out 18, while drawing some tough hitting teams. Topping out at 56 mph, Womble showed hitters a five pitch bag of fastball, change-up, rise, curve and screw, with her change-up being very effective when she kept it down in the zone. She scattered 11 hits, gave up five walks and allowed eight earned runs, finishing with a 4.10 ERA and 1.17 WHIP. With continued work on her skill set as she matures, consistent mechanics and an increase in velocity and spin rate would be projected.
Kyran Jewell (2029 Argenta, IL) is a LHP for Hitting Center Legacy Rowcliff. Jewell showed hitters a consistent motion and delivery, with good use of her lower half in the drive phase during her 7.2 innings of work. Topping out at 56 mph, Jewell worked hitters with a simple four pitch mix of fastball, change-up, rise and curve. Appearing to be a pitch to contact pitcher, Jewell effectively changed levels, worked both sides of the plate and did not have many pitches barrelled up, relying on her defense to make plays behind her. She struck out seven, gave up one hit and one walk, while not allowing an earned run to close the weekend with a 0.00 ERA and 0.26 WHIP.
Rosa Miles (2030 Bloomington, IL), playing for Texas Glory IL-2030 (Wyatt) is a RHP that kept things real simple with a three pitch bag of fastball, change-up and rise while topping out at 56 mph. Miles successfully kept hitters off balance and disrupted their timing utilizing her change-up, which she hid very well and delivered in the low 40 mph range. In her seven innings of work, Miles struck out 10, gave up five hits without a walk, and allowed two earned runs to finish the showcase with a 2.00 ERA and nice 0.71 WHIP.
Elin Tusek (2030 Springfield, IL) is a RHP for Midwest Mafia, with a full six pitch bag of fastball, change-up, rise, drop, curve and screw. While topping out at 50 mph, Tusek showed hitters a consistent and repeatable motion and delivery, relying on her ability to change levels, spin the ball, and hit spots to be successful. In her 7.1 innings of work, Tusek struck out nine, gave up seven hits, walked four and allowed three earned runs. Tusek finished the weekend with a 2.86 ERA and 1.50 WHIP.
Aubrey Bordoni (2029 Collinsville, IL) is a two-way RHP for the Illinois Gators. In the circle, with a six pitch mix of fastball, change-up, rise, drop, curve and screw, Bordoni topped out at 60 mph. In her 10.1 innings of work she struck out a showcase leading 19 batters. Showing some inconsistency, she also walked 17, but with continued work on her skill set her delivery and arm swing should become more consistent. At the plate, Bordoni worked the ball to all fields while collecting eight hits, that included a triple, and picked up seven rbi’s, finishing with a .667 batting average.
High School Division
Lilly Anderson (2029 Ankeny, IA) is a RHH for Alliance Select 16U-Marckmann, who put her talents on display in a big way. Anderson sets up in a slightly open stance, sitting into her legs and utilizes a controlled lean into the back hip for weight transfer and timing. She gets her bat through the zone with an aggressive attack angle, and with good tilt and turn in sequence with her explosive lower half, has power to all fields. Anderson collected eight hits, with three doubles and a showcase leading four bombs. She scored eight runs, ended with a showcase leading 14 rbi’s and finished the weekend hitting at a .615 clip.
Ella Dejonghe (2027 Rock Island, IL) is a RHH, playing for the 09 Midwest Sluggers. Dejonghe, staying tall in the box, sets up in an open stance and starts her movement with a toe touch for timing, and to get back to parallel before launching her swing with the stride. She does a good job of using her lower half, generating torque, while hitting from a firm front side. Dejonghe picked up eight hits with two triples and a home run. She scored four runs, collected five rbi’s and drew one walk to finish with a.667 batting average.
Addilynn Tracy (2028 Virginia, IL) is a RHH for TBSA Wahoos 16u. Tracy sets up slightly open and into her legs, working her hands inside the ball utilizing the whole field. Once Tracy comes out of the box, she puts pressure on the defense with her quickness and aggressive base running. On the weekend, Tracy collected nine hits from the lead-off spot, with two doubles, knocking in one and working the pitchers for a couple of free passes, for a .600 batting average. On the bases, Tracy scored nine runs and swiped six bases to put herself in scoring position for those hitters behind her in the line-up.
Jemma Carey (2028 Springfield, IL) is a versatile utility player for TBSA Wahoos 16u, who was one of the benefactors of the previously mentioned Addilynn Tracy’s quickness. Carey sets up in an athletic stance, utilizing a controlled weight transfer before working the bat through the zone, showing good pull-side power, but also showing the ability to move the outside pitch to the opposite field. At times, Carey would appear anxious at the plate and would benefit in developing some patience at the dish, working to hunt her pitch. On the weekend, Carey picked up five hits, with two home runs, scored five times, knocked in six, stole three bases, recorded a couple of walks and three K’s, finishing with a .357 batting average.
Ella Weaver (2028 Millstadt, IL) is a LHH for Illinois Gators 15U AK. Staying tall in the box, feet parallel, Weaver will sit slightly into her back leg for weight transfer, while pushing the hands back to gain separation, before initiating her stride and swing. Hitting the inside pitch well, showing pull-side tendencies, Weaver ended up with four doubles out of her six hits. She scored three runs, picked up six rbi’s, drew two free passes and finished the showcase hitting at a .500 clip.
Lexie Shimkus (2027 Pleasant Plains, IL) is a corner infielder for Hitting Center Legacy 16U. Hitting from the right side, Shimkus sets up in an open stance, making an early move to parallel before striding to gain separation and launch her swing. With a good solid base and explosive use of her lower half, Shimkus sets an aggressive attack angle, showing good extension and follow through with pull-side power. On the weekend, Shimkus collected eight hits that included a double and two home runs. She scored three runs, knocked in five, drew a walk and had four strikeouts to end the weekend with a .533 batting average.
Zoey Silva (2027 Rockfalls, IL) is a RHP for the 09 Midwest Sluggers. Silva shows hitters a very controlled motion and delivery, with good utilization of her lower half in the drive phase. Working hitters with a four pitch mix of fastball, change-up, rise and curve while topping out at 58 mph. In her 14 innings of work in the circle, Silva sat down 16 batters via strikeout, with a late moving curve doing a lot of the damage. She scattered five hits, gave up two free passes and allowed two earned runs to finish the weekend with a 1.00 ERA and 0.50 WHIP.
Emma Schroeder (2029 Colona, IL) is a RHP for Midwest Sluggers Stormer.Working with a six pitch bag of fastball, change-up, rise, drop, curve and screw, Schroeder, with a top velocity of 59 mph, was able to change levels effectively and show hitters a very deceptive change-up that caused them all kinds of timing trouble. In the circle for 10.1 innings, Schroeder was able to collect 10 strikeouts, while allowing three hits but giving up eight base on balls that led to her only earned run. For her effort, Schroeder finished the weekend with a 0.68 ERA and 1.06 WHIP.
Quinn Goldapske (2029 Ripon, WI), a RHP for Wisconsin Heat, has a very consistent and repeatable motion and delivery, without any wasted movement. Goldapske shows hitters a simple four pitch mix of fastball, change-up, rise and a drop change, which had some glove side run while changing levels. In her nine innings of work, while topping out at 59 mph, Goldapske struck out 13 batters, allowed five hits and gave up six free passes. Showing the ability to work out of jams, Goldapske only allowed one earned run to end the weekend with a 0.78 ERA and 1.22 WHIP.
Addie Malek (2028 Springfield, IL) is a RHP for TBSA Wahoos 16U. Malek, setting up with her left leg stretched back behind the rubber, utilizes a rocking motion to get her weight moving back, before bringing her left leg through while generating energy with her push in the drive phase. Malek goes to work with a full mix of pitches that includes fastball, change-up rise, drop, curve, screw and a drop curve. Topping out at 54 mph, Malek worked 12 innings and picked up nine strikeouts, freezing several hitters with a very deceptive and well hidden change-up. She allowed eight hits, three base on balls and three earned runs to close out her weekend with a 1.17 ERA and 0.92 WHIP.
Courtney Thomas (2026 Cambridge, IL) is a RHP for Texas Glory 2K7. Utilizing a repeatable motion and delivery , with consistent arm swing, Thomas is usually always working around the zone. Showing hitters a six pitch bag of fastball, change-up, rise, drop, curve and screw, Thomas struck out 13 in her 10 innings of work, while topping out at 57 mph. Thomas caused damage with a late moving, swing and miss curve, and her rise, which showed some arm side run as it moved through the zone. Thomas allowed nine hits, walked two and gave up three earned runs to finish the showcase with a 2.10 ERA and 1.10 WHIP.
