PG Stars Over Florida Showcase
Clearwater, FL
June 13-14, 2026
CLEARWATER, FLORIDA- Perfect Game Softball made its official debut in the state of Florida this past weekend at Eddie C. Moore sports complex. The weather was perfect, and the atmosphere was right for some great softball. We had many college coaches of all levels attend and our National Scouting Director was on hand to evaluate and highlight the athletes. We are excited for future events and the ability to promote and highlight the great athletes in the southeast! Below we highlight the 14U division where we had teams representing three states.
14U Division
Zoey Salas (2030, RHP/1B Windsor, CO) of the Colorado Angels 14U Breed was a standout player all weekend. She was a strong two-way player who proved to be a consistent force on both sides of the ball. Offensively, this left-handed hitter starts in an athletic stance and uses her bottom half to generate a solid amount of barrel whip. She is balanced throughout her swing and has good barrel awareness and control. She finished her strong weekend batting over .500 and proved to be a consistent force at the plate. On the mound, this right-handed pitcher sits in the low 50’s but her movement and ownership of the zone are major strengths. She has a flip changeup that is dirty when she executes it. She can throw curve to both sides of the plate, changeup, and a drop ball. She explodes off the mound well and finishes with a nice snap. Overall, she has some major potential, and we look forward to seeing her continue to develop.
Carter Grigg (2032, C/UT, Madeira Beach, FL) of the Lady Bombers Grigg is a fun athlete to watch. She is athletic, has a natural way about how she plays. She is one of those athletes who makes things look easy, which we know is hard to do. Offensively, this leadoff hitter set the tone for her lineup, being one of the most consistent bats. She has great barrel control and showed great patience and discipline at the plate. She can run well, stealing five bases, but she also shows barrel pop, belting multiple extra base hits. Defensively, she is listed as a catcher, but she is honestly athletic enough to play any position. We saw her at shortstop, looking comfortable and showed off great glove work and a quick transfer. She brings a swagger and confidence to the field, and we are here for it. We see big things in her future and are excited to watch her continue to dominate.
Devyn Stozki (2030, CIF/RHP Trinity, FL) of the Performance 3- Elite was an impressive hitter last weekend in Clearwater. She is built strong and uses her strength well to generate some next level barrel whip. She fires her back side well, utilizing a strong front side for resistance. She has great contact point awareness, as she drove the ball where it’s pitched on multiple occasions. She was as consistent as you can get batting well over .500 on the weekend as well as driving in some clutch runs for her team.
Lyndsey Philyaw (2029, SS/RHP Kinston, NC) of the PG All Stars was one of the most consistent hitters of the weekend. She has a confident presence in the box and put together some scrappy at bats. She makes the pitchers work hard and impressively finished her weekend batting over .500. She has a simple approach at the plate and is a contact hitter who makes consistent contact. Her consistency was what grabbed our eye as did her hustle and positive attitude on the field. We look forward to continuing to follow her growth.
Kynleigh Minne (2029, C/IF Eaton, CO) of the Colorado Angels 14U Breed was impressive on both sides of the ball this past weekend. Offensively, this right-handed hitter was consistently productive at the plate, batting over .400 on the weekend. She starts in a balanced stance and generates really good barrel whip, leading to hard hit balls all weekend. She does a great job keeping her hands above the ball and showed the ability to drive pitches both high and low in the zone. She also demonstrated great plate discipline, working counts and attacking pitches in her zone. Behind the plate, this catcher showed strong receiving skills, good glove work, and solid mobility. She communicates well on defense even when battling through the heat and humidity.
Solari Knight (2029, RHP/UT Fayetteville, NC) of the PG All Stars was fun to watch this past weekend. She put on a demonstration of athleticism and power. When batting, this right-handed hitter has insanely fast hands and bat speed. She generates next level power in every swing and even when she mishits the ball, it flies hard. She finished the tournament batting almost .600, stole three bases, and drove in three runs. Her explosiveness doesn’t stop in the batter’s box, it translates into her baserunning and pitching. She runs the bases well and is deceptively quick. On the mound, she is raw but powerful. Already hitting the high 50’s, her velocity is taking off. Once she develops a more consistent release point, watch out world. She is built strong and knows how to use her body to generate explosiveness and power, so she has an incredibly high ceiling. We will be watching her to see how far she can go because her future is bright.
Alasia Lai (2030, LHP/OF/1B, Largo, FL) of the Lady Bombers Grigg was a standout pitcher of the weekend. When it comes to two-way players, she truly stood out among the entire tournament. In the circle, this left-handed pitcher sits in the mid to high 50's and has a smooth motion and is mechanically sound. She averages more than a strikeout per inning and her walk to strikeout ratio is phenomenal. She pounds the zone and uses a good mix to paint both corners well. Offensively, she bats right-handed and is typically in the two spot. She executed her short game well and worked counts. She has great hand-eye coordination and makes consistent contact. She runs the bases well and overall was a big contributor on both sides of the ball for her team.
Audri Valenciano (2030, 3B/SS Fort Collins, CO) of the Colorado Angels 14U Breed was an impressive athlete both with her glove and her bat. She is an athletic player who shows a competitive nature on the field. Offensively, this right-handed hitter uses her bottom half effectively to create some solid barrel whip. She has great pop and power potential. She shows the ability to drive the ball to all fields and does a great job keeping her barrel behind the ball rather than around the ball. Defensively, we saw her mostly at 3B and she did not disappoint. She stayed down on balls in the hot corner well and had great reads off the bat. One of the most impressive things about Audri is her softball IQ and knowing situations. Overall, she is a fun athlete to watch and is one to keep your eye on.
Nola Reilly (2030, C, Lutz, FL) of the Lady Bombers Grigg put on an offensive clinic the past weekend. This right-handed hitter has a phenomenal hand path to the ball, keeping her barrel behind the ball. She can truly drive the ball with authority to all fields. She is a strong athlete and proved to be one of the most consistent hitters on the weekend, finishing with a batting average in the .500’s. Nola provides some serious power in the lineup, batting from the 3 hole. She had multiple extra base hits and came in clutch multiple times with runners in scoring position. Behind the plate she showed some solid glove work and showcased a strong arm. She is not afraid to pick runners at any base and her transfers are quick and efficient. She is a quality athlete and with continued growth she will turn some heads in the future.
Addison Wood (2030, SS, Parker, CO) of the PG All Stars had herself a great tournament at the plate. She finished the weekend batting over .500 and drove in a handful of runs for her squad. She is athletic and strong and has a solid swing. Her stance is balanced, and she generates some great barrel whip. When her barrel connects, it has the potential to go a long way. Overall, she has a ton of potential and we look forward to seeing her continued development in the upcoming season.
