Team Sheet: Wichita State

What Happened: Wichita State went 1-2 in Jacksonville, losing 5-4 to Virginia, losing 19-8 to Auburn, and winning 12-6 over Iowa. The team showed some bright spots for the future as well as some lapses. The Shockers project to be a very solid mid-major squad with experienced bats and a strong Friday night guy in Caden Favors.

Biggest Strength: Young Arms
The Shockers are stocked with a plethora of intriguing young freshman arms, including Tommy LaPour, Ryan Geraghty, and Brady Hamilton. Sophomore Daniel Zang is another younger arm in the weekend rotation.

Concern: Consistent Power Production
The Shockers have a solid lineup up and down with experience, although they are lacking a bit in the power department outside of Derek Williams. Williams is a junior college transfer bat who will provide a sure power threat.
