Chris Smith (2023, Bartlett, Tenn.) came in for a shortened relief appearance late for Wow Factor National touching 91 mph with his fastball as he punched out three of the four batters he faced in the inning. The uncommitted right-hander showed a changeup as well at 81-83 mph that will play well out of the arm slot as he continues to develop the offering. The ball comes out clean with a short arm action allowing him to be on time out front with the delivery. The arm action projects well with more velocity in the tank as he has been up to 93 mph at previous occasions and will certainly be a name to keep an eye on over the next few years.
