Riley Kelly (2022, Santa Anna, Calif.) made a relief appearance for Next Level baseball on day one and came out with a live fastball sitting in the upper-80s and touching 90 mph. The excitement comes in the frame and arm quickness he showed, though. Listed at and every bit of 6-foot-4, 200 pounds, the big physical right-hander works around his hips well to a three-quarters slot with a quick shoulder and some whip out front. He also showed a decent breaking ball creating lots of ground balls in the mid-70s with more slurvy shape as he repeats the arm action well with the offering. It will be interesting to see if Kelly gets on the mound again in bracket play after the first appearance came in relief.
