We’re rolling in pretty much the entire country this week, and with so many regions now having a handful of games under their belt, shakeups in the Top 50 have begun to come in bunches. No. 1 Buford (Ga.) holds steady at the top but has a very big regional series with No. 19 Winder-Barrow (Ga.) this week as Dylan Lesko and company face off against Brady House and a red-hot Bulldogs group. No. 2 IMG Academy (Fla.) holds steady behind them, while Tampa Jesuit (Fla.) and Thousand Oaks (Calif.) move up to No. 3 and No. 4, respectively, with continued success. Making a big jump within the top-10 is Orchard Lake St. Mary’s (Mich.) as they have dominated their competition behind big play from their top prospects and move up to No. 5, while Madison Central (Miss.) sneaks into the top-10 for the first time this spring.

Some shakeups happened throughout the remainder of the Top 25 as well as Orange Lutheran (Calif.) moved up to No. 13 after winning the JSerra Classic, Lakeland Christian (Fla.) moved up a few to No. 17, Doral Academy (Fla.) got going back in the right direction after a win over a top-10 Calvary Christian team and Auburn (Ala.) got back in the win column in a big way after their loss to Hewitt-Trussville last week. Some teams that continued climbing in big ways this week include: No. 26 Malvern Prep (Penn.), No. 33 Friendswood (Texas) and No. 37 Owasso (Okla.).

A handful of new teams once again join the rankings, with five teams making their debuts in the Top 50. Katy (Texas) debuts at No. 34 as they have started their district play hot and look primed for a state title run in Texas. Dana Hills (Calif.) enters at No. 41 as they’ve put together a handful of very good wins early in California, while Danville (Ky.) and Walsh Jesuit (Ohio) bring a pair of Ohio Valley teams to the rankings with both dominating their competition early on. Puyallup (Wash.) is our last new team to enter the Top 50 this week with their hot start in the Northwest, something they have grown accustomed to in recent memory.

While many areas of the country either begin district/region play or wrap up regular seasons with big matchups, be sure to continue to tag @TRussoPG and @ColtPG on Twitter and hashtag all of your highlights with ‘#PGHS’ so that we can talk about some of the country’s top performances each week on the weekly Perfect Game High School Notebook.
