Nelson Baseball School is back to defend their title from 2018, with returning talent on the team as well. Max DeJong, one of the top prospects expected to play in the event, is a 2020 grad committed to play his college ball at Georgia. He is the No. 7 righthanded pitching prospect in the state of Georgia.

Dejong is one of 10 top-500 players to attend the event, including No. 106 overall prospect Marquis Grissom Jr and No. 110 Rece Ritchey.

Southwestern College in San Diego will be the site of the inaugural SoCal Prospect Showcase from Sept. 7-8.

Talented players from across California and neighboring states will be in attendance to establish their benchmark talent and skill levels heading into fall and winter workouts throughout the country.

Perfect Game showcases are a great way to get a full evaluation from scouts and earn a PG Grade on the website, which is automatically factored into national rankings.

On Saturday, the SoCal Prospect Showcase will include a 60-yard dash, outfield throws from right field and infield throws from shortstop, first base throws, catcher pop times, and batting practice, which includes Diamond Kinetics testing. Sunday will host two scrimmages.
