Avery Lewis is a 2024 C/OF Urbandale, IA who attends Waukee Northwest. Avery standout behind the plate. Had some of the quickest pop times at the combine. Fastest Pop Time was a 1.87 and was Able to do this constantly from her feet and her knees. She has a very quick transfer out of her glove and has a good strong arm. Her ability to move behind the plate makes her a very athletic catcher. She jumps out of the box quick on bunts and does a good job limiting her movements to get rid of the ball quick and efficient. Offensively she is a right handed stand in who has some good speed around the bases. Home to first time was a 3.94 and this is just an addition to her power she has offensively. She has a strong athletic build with good barrel whip and generates some good power. She has a narrow stance but utilizes her lower half very well. Overall Avery is a talented athlete who has a bright future ahead. I look forward to watching her excel at the collegiate level.
