The season is dwindling down to the final weeks and though the top half of the rankings have more or less been solidified, that doesn’t mean there can’t be exciting baseball throughout. Texas was able to stave off TCU in a best-of-three series while Florida State was able to pull off one of the upsets of the week in delivering Notre Dame their first in-conference loss of the season.

Arkansas remains at No. 1 following its downing of Georgia and No. 2 Mississippi State took care of business in a ranked matchup against South Carolina. Vanderbilt climbs to No. 3 following their two-game sweep of Alabama while Texas ascends to No. 4 and Tennessee rounds out the top-five at No. 5. Elsewhere, Florida and Texas Tech rejoin the top-10 at Nos. 7 and 8, while TCU and Florida State round out the top-10 at Nos. 9 and 10, respectively; Notre Dame also lands at No. 6.

UCLA is the only new team into the Top 25 at No. 24 in the country. The Bruins have as much talent as anyone in the country and they look like they’re finally putting it together despite the indefinite absence of star Matt McLain, as he suffered a broken thumb this past weekend.
