This is our first mock draft of the season, one of a total of four. There’s this one, obviously, then in a couple weeks we will unveil the full PG scouting department mock, where all of us are assigned a few teams and act as GM for those assigned teams. Following that, we’ll drop the third mock the week prior to the draft and the final one the morning of the draft.

This mock isn’t to be taken as a “here’s how we think it’ll go, verbatim” mock, rather, it’s much like our draft board: A combination of our opinions/evaluations blended with information from our vast network of industry contacts. We’re within the timeframe of being able to link teams to players for various reasons, but there won’t be any nonsensical “players X, Y, and Z are also in play here” thoughts, considering it’s May 7 and we’re still over two months away from the draft itself. This is meant to be something of a player draft stock barometer, rather than us saying “this is how it’s going to go”.

With that being said, enjoy the mock. We will have an absurd amount of MLB Draft content headed your way over the course of the next two months, with the usual stuff like draft boards, mock drafts, and reports along with some new surprises that we’re excited about.
