During the fall with our scouts spread out across the country our scouts have had the opportunity to catch some fall ball at the junior college level. Over the next few weeks we'll provide reports on their observations looking ahead to the spring.

Programs covered: Polk State, College of Central Florida, Northeast Oklahoma, Western Oklahoma, Northern Oklahoma-Tonkawa

Tyler Germanowski, rhp, Polk State (So.)
A St. Bonaventure transfer, Germanowski came in for a one-inning stint against Florida Southern and showed some intriguing stuff on the mound. At a physical 6-foot-4, 210-pounds, Germanowski has a short and quick arm stroke that comes through from an over-the-top arm slot. He worked up to 91 mph and sat in the 91-94 range with the fastball that showed some downhill plane when working low in the zone. Germanowski sprayed the fastball during this look, walking a couple and giving up a couple of home runs too. The slider is a short biting breaker in the 78-81 mph range, and though the results didn’t come through during this look, the stuff and size are intriguing.
