JUCO Top 25: March 14 | Top 250 Junior College Prospects

Since making a change at the top last week, the first in-season No. 1 change since 2016, Walters State (Tenn.) seems to have taken a liking to being No. 1. They rattled off six wins last week to run their record to 28-3 overall, including a 9-0 conference mark. Central Arizona leap-frogged both San Jacinto (No. 3) and Southern Nevada (No. 4) this week into the No. 2 spot, and Crowder jumped into the Top 5 at No. 5 this week. San Joaquin Delta (Calif.) dropped one slot to No. 6, while Wabash Valley (Ill.) rose a pair of spots and checks in at No. 7. McLennan (Texas) stayed steady at No. 8, while both Connors State (Okla.) and Chipola (Fla.) rose one spot this week to Nos. 9 and 10, respectively.

Notables:

• In what was potentially the biggest series of the week, Chipola (Fla.) went on the road to Broward (Fla.) and swept the three-game set in what was, at the time, a huge matchup between the then Nos. 11 and 16 teams. After a bit of a rough start to 2018, the reigning National Champions have surely righted the ship, winning 12 of their last 13 ballgames.

• Crowder (Mo.) continues to make noise in the Midwest, running their record to 21-5 overall this past week. They've won huge series from North Iowa Area and Jefferson College thus far, as well as a single game victory over No. 9 Connors State.

• Wabash Valley (Ill.) continues to climb, checking in at No. 7 this week. They followed up a huge series' win over John A. Logan with a sweep of Lincoln Trail and continue to establish themselves as one of the best programs in the Midwest.

• An especially interesting dynamic is shaping up in the NJCAA Division II, with the usual suspects Jones County (Miss.) and LSU-Eunice (La.) taking the reigns thus far. They are two of the premier programs in that classification, so it's hardly a surprise to see them at the head of the class thus far again in 2018.

• The lone newcomer to the rankings this week is Ohlone (Calif.), a NorCal program that checks in at No. 25 with an overall record of 18-4.

Rankings are based on games through Sunday, March 18.
