Tolentino is one of the most polished all around performers in the 2020 class, very fitting for a Southern California middle infielder whose father, Jose, played in the big leagues and has had a long announcing career since, primarily with the Los Angeles Angles. Tolentino is plenty athletic enough to stay at shortstop for an extended time, with his strong lefthanded bat giving him an advantage over many prospects in that regard. He’s also been up to 90 mph with a tight curveball on the mound.
