Jhett Ohira is a 2026 SS/RHP, 2B, OF with a 5-10 155 lb. frame from Henderson, NV who attends Bishop Gorman. Slender athletic frame. Ran a 7.08 60-yard dash. A versatile defender with the athleticism for the middle of the field. Showed a quicker first step in the outfield, developing footwork to the baseball, and a solid avg throwing arm. Patient approach in the infield, has some arm strength and likes to showcase it, does have lateral range and soft hands fielding the baseball with accurate throws to finish off plays. Hit from an even base and slightly open stance with simple load stride timing at the plate. Athletic and under control swings in the box, creating torque, getting on time consistently and showing a swing that is in sync some with his lower half to impact the baseball with line drives to all fields. Found the barrel a lot in games with a more pull side approach in game. Drop and drive mechanics on the mound with a three-quarter arm slot and feel for three pitches. A fastball with some life thru the zone, a slider with some late bite and a change up with tumbling action. Quality strike thrower. Some real athleticism and quality foundation to project on. Named to Sunshine Rocky Mountain Top Prospect List. Great student.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
